There has been excellent experience at the Government Engineering University as the bonding made with friends and faculties remained till the end of life. I had chosen this University because it is based in the market of Gandhinagar and the students can reach their easily via public transportation. Along with it, the placement experience and the education provided by the University are very good and it has good reputation in the market. Therefore many companies are visiting University for placement. This made me choose this University. All have the main aim of achieving good post in the field after completing bachelor so this is possible here. I recommend you to choose this University. Overall the college is okay with no campus life, no college and technical fest since last 3 years and there are no sports facilities as well. The labs for the department are also not maintained well and the faculties are okay. There are hostel facilities available but doesn’t have canteen so all your money would be spent on food. College and hostel fees are negligible.Read Full Review

Being a Computer Engineer student, I can’t give insight into the other branches but my branch had the best faculties. A government college is a government college after all and so there was no pressure of attending labs and classes. GECG though had the perfect infrastructure to battle Covid. The classes halted during the final semester and even the exams were delayed but all thanks to GTU as they found a way out and our course was completed successfully. Not just the attendance leverage was an advantage that you will have at Govt Engineering College Gandhinagar but the opportunities advantages were also a lot. One drawback is that it’s located at almost the end of the city and traveling from Ahmedabad daily was just not possible. The college does have a hostel but since the lectures were not compulsory I used to go to college max twice a week. We were given the yearly schedule well in advance and it may be Government College but the schedule would go as planned. Hence, I attended the important lab sessions and lectures that I knew I need clarity on. A large bulk assignment sheet is given and we can do that at our convenience but had to be submitted on time.Read Full Review
