With a score of 85 percentile in CAT, the options of getting into a top B-School became slim but luckily got admission at Welingkar Institute Management as I was kept waiting for a while before I got the call to come and enroll. I would like to thank the one who cancelled his/her admissions because for me many career opening started happening as soon as I passed out from here. Well, the university was ranked around 100 say 10 years back and when I joined it was ranked 24th. So, one can check the progress that the college has made. WeSchool literally spoilt me for choices as Finance and Marketing seats were full but the management people and the counselor were so helpful that they introduced me to the importance of new age specializations that the college started a couple of years back when I joined. PGDM in rural and retail management, media & entertainment, business analytics, and others. Overall the effort that has been put by the management to add value to the course by regularly inviting business tycoons really boosted us. The number of workshop that we attended during the course was amazing. The biggest contribution in my knowledge has to be the development of students on behavioral front. Both in terms of professional and personal on how to present ourselves was the biggest contribution of Welingkar in my life. Given the opportunities, placements, and development the fees was little on the higher side. The reason why I chose Welingkar was that it has good brand name and has been constantly ranked among top 5 B schools in Mumbai. The alumni network of Welingkar is weak and that is where the college should do something. The college has roped in the best faculty, best infrastructure is in place and but not having Alumni network hurts. As I am Alumni of the college but college has never bothered about us after passing. There are many who have excelled after passing out from this college but their names were never mentioned.Read Full Review

The WeSchool as it is better known is among the best management colleges in Mumbai. The college has all the facilities and resources that are required in a top college. After doing BMS from Vivek College, it was difficult for me to travel daily to Matunga and thankfully the college had hostel facilities and even after the 1st semester when I applied for the hostel, the college gave me a berth in the hostel. The college has different rules for different courses like for MBA they have started accepting CAT score as well. Previously it was CMAT (Common Maharashtra Admission Test). There are various post graduate programs, but I chose PGDM which is a 2-year full time course. The course is offered by Welingkar college’s own university.Read Full Review
