Firstly, if anyone asks me for a college for B.Com, I will definitely suggest SCAC as I have developed myself here both academically and socially. The energy in this college can't be verbally explained. There are a number of events held in the college related to academics, culture, etc. Also one of the factors that make SCAC a better college is diversity and international relations. Symbiosis College of Arts & Commerce is one of the oldest and well-known educational institutions in Pune. Although it was granted autonomous status by the UGC, it continues to be affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. It has received several accreditations and accolades over the years from various reputed institutions. The admission process was fairly simple and was based on merit basis, not through an entrance examination. The cut-off scores range between 82-89% usually and multiple merit-lists are put up during the process of admission. My scores from XII grade were more than the cut-off score, and further the admission was done easily. The college also provides choices of optional subjects, which should be selected during admission.

Along with traditional education, students here are given practical knowledge in the form of seminars, workshops, conferences, and field visits. From my experience, the college not only delivers quality education, but also helps in shaping a good personality. The campus is impactful in broadening one’s perspective. It offers endless possibilities for someone who aims at achieving better results in life. The college helped me in understanding the real world whereabouts and prepared me well to work in the corporate world. Symbiosis College of Arts & Commerce is the only Symbi institute that is affiliated with Pune University. They have a junior college of Arts & Commerce and also the senior college of both the streams in the same campus. The same campus once accommodated 9 institutes of Symbiosis. Today Symbiosis has 6 campuses in Pune and some in other cities as well. A 4-decade old institute and today becoming a heartthrob in colleges can’t be a joke and for people who have become daggers of the college must rethink. People calling it a paradise or safe haven of riches but the reality is something else. I have seen people in my batch coming from small towns I have never heard of. Out of the total strength of 600, 200 for sure are outsiders. Rankings can be manipulated but students' views can’t be. The college has made me confident enough and made me tough to rise above my skills. There are 2 points, the college doesn’t care if you don’t involve in college activities but if you do there’s so much to learn.Read Full Review
