Delhi Technological University Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules, New Delhi

Approximately 13 Delhi Technological University hostels are available for nearly 2640 outstation male and female students, separately. Names of some of the hostels are ‘Sir C.V Raman’, ‘Bhaskaracharya’, ‘Aryabhatta’, ‘Sister Nivediata’, ‘Kalpana Chawla’, ‘Ramanujan’, ‘Homi Jehangir Bhabha’, etc.

The Delhi Technological University hostel fees range from Rs. 86,800/- to Rs. 1,06,800/- & it is inclusive of room rent, mess & other charges.

• Non-AC Rooms

Note: Under Type-1, 1-BHK flats are available and each of these can accommodate around 3 students. Whereas, Type-2 refers to 2-BHK flats that have an accommodation capacity of 5 students (in each).

* Also, Rs. 58,000/- is an annual fee for premium 3-seater Non-AC rooms available at the ‘Ramanujan Hostel’. Students need to deposit an additional Rs. 1000/- per year in case they wish to keep coolers in their rooms / flats.

Several hostel rules and regulations have been formed by the management of the University to create safe, secure, and comfortable living space for all the inmates. It is compulsory for the hostel inmates to abide by all such rules & regulations while staying at their respective accommodations.

• Male and female residents are not allowed to enter or leave their respective hostels after 11 PM. Hostellers need to mark their attendance in an attendance register on a daily basis as well.
• Boys cannot enter the premises of girls’ hostels & vice versa.
• All the hostellers shall seek written permission from their respective wardens beforehand in case they wish to stay out of their residences for an overnight or more.
• Indulgence in ragging is strictly prohibited at the hostel complexes and students who are found practising this act will have to face consequences taken by the disciplinary committee.
• Smoking, gambling, and consumption of narcotic & alcoholic substances are banned within the residences of the University.
• Damaging hostel property, misbehavior or other such acts of indiscipline are restricted at the hostels. Students found guilty of these acts will immediately be expelled from the residences of the University.
• Hostel authorities are not answerable for the loss of any personal belongings of the residents. Therefore, it is advised to lock the rooms and cupboards properly before leaving the residential premises.

Separate boys’ and girls’ hostels with state-of-the-art amenities are available for outstation students studying at the Delhi Technological University Campus. For nearly 1839 male students, there are approximately 10 hostels. On the other hand, around 3 residences are available for approximately 801 female students.
