The Thiagarajar College has built separate hostels for both male and female students within the campus. Moreover, the College facilitates several state-of-the art facilities within the hostel premises to provide a comfortable and home-like atmosphere to the outstation students.

Around 2 hostels are available at Thiagarajar College namely ‘Valluvar Illam’ for boys and ‘Manimegalai Illam’ for girls. The hostels can collectively accommodate approximately 409 students including boys and girls. The Thiagarajar College hostel rooms are fully-furnished & equipped with adequate amenities.

Students getting admission in the hostels need to pay room rent, mess charges, caution money, and other applicable charges. The Thiagarajar College hostel fees for both male and female students is around Rs. 45,000/- per annum.

• The students’ accommodation will be continued based on their scores of CIA and summative examinations.
• On working days of the College, the hostellers from aided and self-finance courses must leave for their classes on the respective timings.
• Ragging is strictly prohibited within the hostel premises. Strict & legal action will be taken against the responsible student.
• The hostellers must switch off the electrical appliances before leaving their respective rooms.
• Smoking, drinking, and use of narcotics are banned within the College / hostel premises.
• Students should keep valuable items such as expensive mobile phones, laptops, etc. at their own risk.
• The hostel residents must strictly follow the mess rules and the food timings.
• If the students residing in the hostels are going either outside or their home, then they must obtain a prior written permission from the respective authorities.
• If the student remains absent from the hostels during the attendance hours then a certain amount will be charged from them.
