IHM Chennai B.Sc Fees Structure 2026 & Admission Process

College academics provided by the central government standards will help a student to get excelled in all the important things in the hotel industry like cooking, managing, front office, room service, and at bar and all key fields. College provides great lab with all good and clean equipment facilities.

The college provided three year course included with six semesters. The eligibility criteria was that we must pass plus two exam and after that pass the entrance exam conducted by the NCHCT. You can apply for the exam through the NCHMCT website. After that we can applied colleges through the NCHM website in single window method.

This course will help you to build certain skills like Communication, Personality Development, and Customer Handling. This course includes providing knowledge in various areas such as Food production where students are taught about several cuisines around the world with recipes as well as making process. Students also understand the nuances of food and beverage services of foods in 5 star restaurants and its ethics. The course also trains student about front office, where they learn about front desk customer handling and its etiquettes. Some extra subjects are for general understanding like basic Accounts, Food Nutrients, Engineering, and Maintenance. Classrooms have all the facilities such as good Practical labs for each department, using of projector as well as digital screen for better understanding of syllabus. As far as classes are concerned, students tends to attend practical classes more than the theoretical one.

Fee structure for the academic year 2018-21 is elaborated in this section. For 1st semester, the total fee is Rs. 74,110. This included criteria like admission fee: Rs. 1,500, enrollment fee (NCHMCT): Rs. 1800, tuition fee: Rs. 39,700, student activity fee: Rs. 300, med. exam fee Rs. 1,000, brochure & calendar fee Rs. 200, magazine fee: Rs. 50, internal exam fee: Rs. 400, ID card fee: Rs. 100, caution money; Rs. 6500, IHM/NCHM exam fee Rs. 2500, environment fee: Rs. 20, IGNOU enrollment fee: Rs. 12,820, medical insurance fee: Rs. 620, handouts fee Rs. 200, uniform fee Rs. 5500, and kitchen kit: Rs. 1800. Total fee for 2nd semester is Rs. 42,200. This included criteria like tuition fee: Rs. 39,700 and IHM/NCHM exam fee Rs. 2,500. For 3rd semester, the total fee is Rs. 49,950. This included criteria like tuition fee: Rs. 40,600, student activity fee: Rs. 300. Med. exam fee: Rs. 100, brochure and calendar fee: Rs. 200, magazine fee - 50 internal exam fee: Rs. 400, ID card: Rs. 100, IHM/NCHM exam fee: Rs. 2m500, environment fee: Rs. 20, IGNOU enrollment fee: Rs. 4,860, Medical Insurance fee: Rs. 620, and handouts fee: Rs. 200. For 4th semester, the total fee is Rs. 43,100. This included criteria like tuition fee: Rs. 40,600 and IHM/NCHM Exam fee: Rs. 2,500. For 5th semester, the total fee is Rs. 49,860. This included criteria like tuition fee: Rs. 37,250, student activity fee: Rs. 300, med. exam fee: Rs. 100, brochure and calendar fee: Rs. 200, magazine fee: Rs. 50, internal exam fee: Rs. 400, ID card fee: Rs. 100, IHM/NCHM fee: Rs. 200, environment fee: Rs. 20, IGNOU enrollment fee: Rs. 4,620, medical insurance fee: Rs. 620, handouts fee: Rs. 200, and uniform fee: Rs. 4,000. For 6th semester, the total fee is Rs. 39,250. This included criteria like tuition fee: Rs. 37,250 and IHM/NCHM Exam fee: Rs. 2,000. This makes the total fee for 3 years course Rs. 2,98,000.
