The training and placement department of our college provides us with a platform for using our technical acumen and gain industry experience. In fact, they were the one who helped me gain my first internship. They act as an interface for the companies looking for recruiting young talented graduates. They organize orientation programmes for placements, career guidance seminars for higher education in and out of India. I attended this seminar as I am applying for higher education outside India and had almost zero knowledge of what to do and how to do. They provided and guided me through all the application process and the examinations and universities for which I can apply. Talking about companies, the big names in the industry come for recruitment such as AppDynamic, Goldman Sachs, Deloitte and Uber. They offer some of the big packages in India. Placement department bring the companies to the college from various departments like Construction, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Semiconductor Companies, Electrical Companies and power and transmission firms. But most of the companies visit the campus are cone for the computing and management jobs and few of the jobs for the core engineering branches like civil, electrical, mechanical. In my passing out year the number of jobs offered to the students around 900. Highest package of the institute was 34 Lakh per annum and the average package was around 10 LPA. But the majority of the offers were of around 6 Lakh per annum and almost every student placed at that CTC. Companies which visit the campus for the electrical students are Bosch, Goldman Sachs, HPCL, Philips India, Larson and Turbo, Torrent Power, Siemens Energy, Adani Power, Adani Transmission, Tata Power and JSW Power etc.Read Full Review
