Manipal Institute of Management Manipal Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

Again, all the adjective of huge and enormous are applicable for the size of the campus. There are many colleges in Manipal University and all are under one roof. I am confused as where to begin from because each thing of the campus needs some description. I will do favor to the beautiful auditorium where we attended at least 40 lectures. It was a theater in its own sense. Wow factor was visible as soon as you step to the auditorium. Next and last, I would mention about the sporting facilities as I am into sports and again, they were just Wow. I thought I will boast that my last college had a futsal ground but here there were snooker and pool tables. Huge swimming pools and state of the art ground with a nice stadium get up. If you have an option to visit a university campus, please make sure it’s Manipal’s University Campus.

I hardly got over it and this review has reminded me old good days again. Friends and more friends was the way here. Students of all states and communities could be found here. I know the campus was huge but when I checked the actual size it is 600 acres. I don’t know any other university that is as vast as MAHE. MIM was nearly a kilometer from the hostels. Everything is there inside the campus from world class hospital to innovation center. I was amazed with one auditorium in my previous college while Manipal University has 5-6. There are 6-7 canteens at the campus and because North East students favoured this university the most, proper momos stall is there at the campus. Even a north Indian restaurant was there and still I was so obsessed with Chinese stall that I mostly had my dinner there only. Apart from that, I hardly stepped out of the campus as campus had a medical shop, ATM machine, grocery shop that also sells fruits, and a proper general store selling everything. Sporting facilities are needless to mention as some of the facilities are built under the observation of people from Sports Authority of India.

I would say life at Manipal was very short but the sweetest that I have had. Never ever in my life, I have made friends with people from North East. If it wasn’t for Manipal University, I would have never known that they are the sweetest people on earth. Love and laugh were the theme at the university and I mostly saw students smiling at the campus. This means that campus takes care of the students really well and trust me I just went home for 20 days or so during the course of 2 years and still it was the campus I missed more than I missed home while I was at the campus.Read Full Review

The university is gigantic as it’s like a town of its own. The population of the campus was around 5000 which is quite large considering it’s just a university. The university has 16 institutes and students of all streams are free to enjoy all the facilities of the university. I will start with the computer lab as they were 5-6 for sure. Our building had one and it had PCs in abundance. All our project work and print out was done there as the computer or the IT lab had everything and not just the PCs. The library again didn’t just have the books but one of the best study area one will find. Sports which I am not very fond of but sports enthusiast will love it. Lastly but not the least the canteen and the cafeteria area. They were good and had many food options from Chinese to Italian so one will never find himself/herself in a bubble where they had to contain with the same set of food.

Jaw dropping for sure as I learned a lot and more than that came to know the fun that staying in hostel brings. The university hosts events every week and it was just not possible for me to witness them all. However, the college final event or the annual fest was something which is a competition between the colleges of the university. MBA students lagged in that but I wish if some of the project burden was taken from us, we would have surely done better there as well.Read Full Review
