Manipal Institute of Management

I never thought I will be going to Manipal Institute of Management but thanks to my childhood friend from Rajasthan who took me to MIM. I will start off by saying that I couldn’t have thought or asked for a better college. Yes, I am not saying it’s the best B-school in India but for average students who fails to get admissions elsewhere and think that placements are not means for them then please keep MIM as an option. Three branches of MBA and because I was late had to choose what was left and it was MBA healthcare Management. MBA Global Business of the university is better than the best but talking about the stream I did, we had to spend a hell lot of time in Bangalore. We also had the options of going for a student exchange program to the states. It was all on our expenses though so it was better to avoid but for those who can afford, even IIMs don’t have such facilities. Studies were fun here as assignments were quite a few times discussed in class and if you have made a meal of that than it was an absolute fun. MIM college of Manipal University is one of the best colleges for MBA. After spending a fair bit of time in Bangalore, I headed 400 kilometers north of Bangalore to come to a place which is renowned all across the country for its education. Manipal University offers a lot of courses and even MBA had 3 specializations. The choice couldn’t be made by me as I was the late entrant to the college and they just had a few seats left in MBA Health Care. My choice otherwise would have been MBA (Global Business) offered by the college. MBA Health Care was the study of hospital management and health system of India. The university has tie-up with many foreign universities and University of South Florida is where we were sent in the 2nd semester for 2 months. Likewise for MBA (Global Business) students were sent to university’s Dubai campus in the second semester. After the 3rd semester, we were sent for training at KMC Hospitals and for 2 years, I have no idea what I will be doing the next day. I have never seen such a unique way of study elsewhere and my friends who did MBA from other universities envied me all the time.Read Full Review

Manipal University is known all across the country and all thanks to the large marketing budget that they have. After graduating and failing to get admissions at my desired institutes, Manipal University’s institute of management was a life savior. It accepts various entrance scores and CAT 80 percentile is enough to be called for the next round. I have to clear GD & PI round and after that only I secured admissions here. So, at least the institute is not bogus where they will accept any students. This drill made sure that the students who study here are among the best and all were unique as students of various backgrounds joined MIM. These made things quite interesting actually because in management studies one has to study numerous subjects and having engineering or BCA back ground helps. I wasn’t one of those but luckily, I made friends with them and because of that study became easy.Read Full Review
