MIT Mysore campus is spread over a lush green land and has modern infrastructural facilities to support the overall development of the students. The campus of the Institute is secured 24*7 to ensure the students’ safety and well-being.
MIT Mysore has a campus area of approximately 10 acres of land. The entire premises have several access points wherein students are provided with Wi-Fi connectivity of 100 Mbps bandwidth. Moreover, a number of facilities are available for the students such as classrooms, library, seminar halls, conference rooms, hostels, sports, healthcare services, transportation, and the list goes on.

Academic Facilities
At the Maharaja Institute of Technology Mysore campus, there are ample educational facilities to enhance the learning experience of the students. The classrooms are equipped with modern teaching-learning amenities such as LCD projectors and other aids for an interactive session.
An auditorium is present with the latest AV aids to conduct different events and activities. Other than this, a multitude of seminar halls of varied carpet area & seating capacity are available along with the essential amenities to host academic activities and presentations.
Furthermore, at the campus, conference rooms are well-equipped with projectors & other aids, and are used to conduct National & International Conferences. Other amenities include meeting rooms, stationary store, and ‘Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam’ open-air theatre, and so on.
The other learning facilities of the MIT Mysore campus are described below:
- Library: The Institute has an automated Central Library named ‘Library and Information Centre’ that is present in an independent building of around 1440 sq. m area. A spacious reading hall is available having an accommodation capacity of more than 100 students. Apart from this, various departmental libraries are also there for the students to improve their subject-specific knowledge.
The library has a seating capacity of around 412 students and houses various types of study materials like encyclopaedias, periodicals, hand books, data books, etc. Some of the others are around 61,391 volumes, 30,100 titles, 7529+ e-journals, approximately 26,344 e-books, 18 magazines, 16 newspapers, etc.
There are around 210 systems connected to the Internet using which students can access the digital library. Also, students can access the open e-resources from knowledge centre on-campus & remotely. Other facilities include inter-library loan, book bank, reprographic services, an auditorium with approximately 200-seater capacity, and much more.
- Laboratories: The Institute has various Computer Labs with updated systems for different departments to equip the students with digital skills. Moreover, high-tech laboratories are available for departments like Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, etc. The labs are Physics lab, Chemistry lab, Electronics & Communication lab, and several others.
Non-Academic Facilities
The MIT Mysore campus has many non-educational facilities like hostels, sports, healthcare, a departmental store called ‘MIT Store’, etc. The amenities are discussed below:
- Sports: The Institute has a ‘Physical Education Department’ that is responsible for maintaining the games infrastructure and for training & encouraging the students to take part in the sports events. Indoor sports facilities are present for Chess, Carrom, Table Tennis, etc. In addition to this, outdoor sports include Basketball, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Badminton, Cricket, Football, Throwball, and more.
- Hostels: The MIT Mysore Hostels are available separately for the boys and girls within the campus. The rooms are fully-furnished with adequate amenities for a comfortable stay. The other facilities include mess, and gym, to name a few.
- Canteen: Within the premises of the Institute, there is a ‘MIT Canteen’ that has an adequate seating space for the students. Here, diverse & healthy food options like South Indian, North Indian, snacks, beverages, and much more are served to the students to cater their taste preferences. These food items are prepared under hygienic conditions and provided to the students at economical prices.
- Transportation: 150+ buses are owned by the Institute that cover more than 80 km city radius. The buses travel at various routes from the MIT Mysore campus so that students and staff members can commute safely.
- Healthcare: There is a ‘First Aid cum Sick Room’ at the Maharaja Institute of Technology Mysore campus to provide basic healthcare facilities to the students.
- Banking: An ATM is present inside the MIT Mysore campus so that students can conveniently use it for their financial needs.
