Students can get career related assistance and counselling sessions through the Training and Placement Cell / Department of the Institute. Moreover, the cell actively helps students in securing Internship and employment opportunities from the leading companies which are invited for the MIT Mysore Placement drives.

In addition, the cell has a team of coordinators which works effortlessly to ensure that students attain industry ready skills. Following are the activities organised by the cell:

The cell has built corporate relations with potential recruiters such as IBM, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, TCS, Bajaj Finserv, EY, and many others to provide desired job roles to the students.

The Institute focuses on improving the overall campus experience of the students by providing top-notch educational and recreational facilities. The area covered by the MIT Mysore Campus is around 10 acres and has lush green surroundings. In addition, students get a conducive learning environment in the classrooms as they are equipped with LCD projectors & other interactive teaching aids.

Additional details regarding the Institute’s campus facilities are as follows:

• Library: A comprehensive collection of books, titles, magazines, newspapers, and other educational resources are available within the central (Library & Information Centre) & departmental libraries of the Institute. Besides that, there is a digital library with an adequate number of computer systems to provide access to e-resources, databases, and other online platforms.
  Nearly 412 students can be seated at once within the library and it also contains facilities for book lending, references, reprographic, reading halls / rooms (100+ capacity), a 200-seater auditorium (to organise academic events), etc.
• Laboratories: In order to provide high performance training to the students in the technical & computing field, the Institute has set up computer labs and department-specific labs within the premises.

• Auditoriums & Seminar Hall: Maharaja Institute of Technology Mysore has dedicated spaces like auditoriums and seminar halls within the premises to host interactive academic, cultural, and professional activities.
• Conference Rooms: The Institute provides a professional environment within the conference rooms as they are equipped with projectors and other interactive tools.
• Open-Air Theatre: There is a ‘Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam open-air theatre’ at the campus which serves as a versatile place to organise co-curricular activities at a large scale.
• Canteen: Students can have North Indian, South Indian, snacks, and beverages at the ‘MIT Canteen’ which is present inside the campus.
• Hostels: MIT Mysore Hostels are located within the premises and provide separate residential to boys and girls. In addition, the hostels are designed to provide a ‘home away from home’ environment to the students by providing fully-furnished rooms, mess area, and other required facilities.
• Sports: MIT Mysore focuses on developing sportsmanship among the students by providing adequate facilities like Chess, Carrom, Table-Tennis for indoor games. Along with this, outdoor games such as Basketball, Volleyball, Kho-kho, Badminton, Cricket, Football, etc. are available. In addition to this, students are encouraged to participate in different sports tournaments held at Inter-College, State, and other levels.
• Transportation: There are 150+ Institute’s buses that operate within the radius of around 80 km to offer pick and drop facility to the students.
• Healthcare Facilities: A first aid cum sick room is present within the premises of Maharaja Institute of Technology Mysore to facilitate students with immediate attention on minor injuries and illness.
• Other Facilities: ATM, Meeting Rooms, and other amenities.
