LPU BBA Review By Priyanka Thakur

LPU a dream university situated in the outskirts of Jalandhar, Punjab. Being its Alumni I will be privileged to say if you choose this university you will going to transform your life in a great way. I choose an integrated degree BBA (Hons) with MBA in Finance. Allow me to take you through the journey. LPU divides itself into different schools like engineering school, management school, pharmacy school, and many others. Why you choose this University? LPU spread over 600 acres with beautiful green surroundings and atmosphere and, obviously its infrastructure will take your breath away. It ranked 78th in the list of all government and private universities of the country, engineering school is in the top 100, pharmacy school is in top 30 and the list goes on. I got admission to LPU by giving an exam. Basically they want to check your understanding level with some aptitude or mental ability and securing some percentage fixed by them you can further proceed by knowing more about your courses or you get mentored by various highly qualified faculties which will there at your service all the time.

I was lucky enough to be guided by some faculties at the time of admission which leads me to choose an integrated programme which was highly famous now and then. You will be surprised to know their scholarship programmes. I choose integrated programme because they were providing some concession on fee for the integrated students, and the Integrated course was highly benefited in terms of placement. I was fully satisfied with my course as it gave me a chance to sit for the interviews in different company after graduation. I was fortunate enough that I got selected by Vardhman Textiles Chandigarh but I choose to study further as after MBA I will be able to get big companies. This course is highly beneficial to me and everyone who wants to work hard and be part of the big company.

Faculties are the backbone of any school, college or university. And in LPU you will get 200+ highly qualified faculties with ratings. Every faculty is holding a PhD degree. That means they know how to teach students with perfection. Every month the Dean of different schools will walk into every class with a questionnaire about the faculty behavior, delivering lectures and perfection level in their own subjects.

As I got placed with Vardhman Textiles and ICICI Bank and my friends got placed with Dell, Microsoft, Tech Mahindra, Bosch, Maruti and many more. LPU has a track record of 100% placement across the world. Every year LPU held a placement fair where big companies take place and you can try your luck with the required skills and talent. The highest package secured by one of my batch mates (Management department) was around Rs. 15 lacs per annum by Cognizant. Talking about the average package secured by students were around Rs. 3-4 lacs per annum. If you do smart work with learning good skills then you will have an ocean of opportunities in front of you.

LPU hostel life is something I will cherish my whole life. They provide separate boys and girls hostel. There will be 6-7 hostel buildings for boys and girls carrying 5-6 floors with 100 rooms in each floor. 4-5 dormitory rooms also. Best thing about the hostel is that you can easily choose your room by yourself and choose your room mates too. One more thing, they provide you visitors room and guest room where your family members can make themselves comfortable for a couple of days. We have a mess in each hostel and a restaurant too where you will have all types of cuisines. The food quality I would say good, everyday they serve different meals according to their menu and yes, in festivals you will get the best food ever. If you are someone who like to fast on some days like say Monday or Navratri festival you need not to worry they will provide you with meals according to that. The Laundry system is like a cherry on the cake. The total fees per semester will be around Rs. 25-30 thousand with full security as LPU hired some reputed security personnel for their employees and students.

LPU is about 16 years old university that spread over 600 acres of land. Its infrastructure is something which is made with a good mind behind it. Its infrastructure is one of the biggest and best in the world. It has a separate building for International studies. It has its own planned Cricket stadium with a separate building of student centre where students run shops, eating joints. You will be surprised to know that LPU gives you a separate MAC lab so that student can develop and deploy Apple apps. The classrooms are made with high tech systems. There is a separate building for Medical emergencies where you will be taken care of separate building for sports and an open-air theatre. If you are a book worm or like to read different books to gain knowledge you will surely take admission in LPU then.

LPU Slogan is - Transforming India by Transforming Education which is absolutely right. See you will get opportunities to develop yourself and in different ways. LPU hosts many debate competitions, Sports festival, Yoga day, Marathons. LPU Surprises there students by inviting music bands, exhibitions, book fair. You will immense opportunities to try yourself and achieve your goal in academics or in sports. LPU celebrated different fests by celebrating different cultures individually. And lastly, If you choose LPU then you will surely get a chance to meet highly reputed personalities. Some of them who visited LPU are- Late Pranab Mukherjee, Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone came for promoting The Chennai Express movie and many more. Many film shootings take place in LPU.
