LPU Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules, Jalandhar

The Lovely Professional University (LPU), Jalandhar provides separate accommodation facilities to male and female students within the campus. The University offers hostels on first-come first-basis to the students providing a comfortable and homely environment to all the residents.

The hostel at LPU Jalandhar has a capacity to accommodate around 24000 students. The hostel offers rooms of different occupancies with attached bathrooms and adequate amenities like bed, study table, plastic chair, almirah, and so on. The LPU hostel fees range from Rs. 80,000/- to Rs. 2,10,000/- per year.

The LPU Jalandhar hostel fees is categorised on the basis of rooms like Standard & Apartment and occupancy type; the details about the same are as follows:

Standard Rooms

Apartment Rooms

Note: Students get the concession of Rs. 10,000/- in hostel fee if they are opting for Early Decision Benefit (EDB) option. Moreover, all the fees including residential, mess, laundry, swimming, etc. are managed by Pro Bricks.

Mess

At the hostels of LPU, 2 types of mess are available including Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian. In addition, the vegetarian mess has categorised the plan into 2 parts i.e., ‘Standard’ & ‘Ala Carte’.

The Standard plan provides a 2, 3, & 4 time meal system and also includes North & South-Indian cuisines, Rajasthani & Haryanvi exclusive food, and others. On the other hand, the Ala Carte offers choices of dishes to the students. Additionally, the non-vegeterian mess is situated adjacent to the campus and managed by a private vendor.

The details about the annual fees of both the messes are mentioned-below:

• Vegetarian: Rs. 38,000/- to Rs. 55,000/-.
• Non-Vegetarian: Rs. 50,000/- to Rs. 70,000/-

Below-given are the rules & regulation set by the University to maintain a peaceful environment in the hostel premises:

• The students are strictly prohibited to paste any poster or paintings on the wall inside or outside of the hostel premises.
• All the residents are requested to maintain silence at the hostel premises especially during the quiet hours i.e. from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
• It is mandatory to put thick curtains on windows, ventilators, and doors facing towards the balcony.
• The inmates are prohibited to keep any kind of camera or recording instruments in the residential accommodation without the written approval of the respective authority.
• If any resident falls sick and is suffering from any sort of infection, they have to inform the warden on priority.
• Any unauthorised use of electricity by using any electric appliances such as heater, audio player, convector, etc. is not allowed. However, the students are allowed to keep electrical kettles, irons, etc. but extra charges will be applied.
• The students are advised to keep their allotted rooms / apartments clean and well maintained.
• Consumption of illegal items and ragging is strictly prohibited in the hostel complex. Students found guilty may have to face the consequences for the same.

The LPU Jalandhar hostel offers separate residential facilities to male and female students on multiple occupancies with AC and non-AC room facilities. Additionally, the LPU hostel rooms are fully furnished and are equipped with several amenities such as attached washrooms, bed, table, chair, and others.

Furthermore, the hostel offers clean & comfortable mess, kiosks, and cafeterias which provide nutritious & delicious meals to all the residents. In addition to this, it provides a parking facility, lab, library, Wi-Fi facilities, medical facilities, and several others.
