Overall I would like to highlight all the good things that the college offers. First and foremost is the green campus, fantastic sporting facilities, furnished hostel rooms, best faculty and decent placements. I passed out in 2018 and in my opinion the college has done well at least if I compare it with my graduation college. Placements for marketing and finance stream are the best and I was glad I chose finance. IMNU is not in the A list of B Schools and you will have to maintain CGPA of 5 or more to get placed. The other criteria which actually made me worry was the attendance criteria. If one doesn't maintain that they are not allowed to write the exams. The rules and regulations that are placed are even stricter than a military school. Adherence to the syllabus that has been prescribed and no outside books were allowed to refer as the University believed that their study material is the best in the world. In all, IMNU is for average students but they can become best of they stay here for 2 years.

The academic section is stricter than that of schools. Starting from the attendance to scoring in the exams, it will require a lot of effort. The classes used to start at sharp 8am in the morning and we used to have a 2 hours break from 12.30 to 2.30 and then again classes. Sometimes the classes lasted for over 10 hours as the syllabus designed is so vast and 5 months are not enough to complete the entire syllabus. Thus the professors didn’t have a choice but to call us on Sunday’s as well.

I can just give a rough idea as the college is still relatively new and the changing of teaching staff was quite common. Some faculty even left mid-way and the college do have the money power and they brought in new teacher in no time. The college has invested heavily in the faculty members and that has actually paid some rich dividends as well. The faculty members are so easy to go and ask questions and that’s not all as they were the ones who gave us tips on how to unreel after the colleges are over.

The placements are decent and would say decent because the college promised a lot but offered less. At least corporate from 5-6 sectors were on campus and therefore chances of getting placed increased as there were a range of companies. The placement cell of the institute is highly active and took our scores to give it to the corporate. Our profiles were sent to the companies that visited and then we were invited. After interacting with a lot of colleagues I came to know that in other colleges it’s the other way round. The students can decide which company to apply for but here we don’t have a choice. I don’t know who taught them do it this way as 30% of students got filtered under not interested. Those students just stood their ground and watch others getting placed. The average package was about Rs. 6-8 lakhs and one or two got a package beyond Rs. 10 lakhs.

I stayed in the hostel for both the years and had a great experience. The lan port is available for each student and has a high speed net connection at the hostel. The hostel also has a mess that has aligned its schedule as per the academic schedule and therefore the timing fits perfectly. The laundry service which was quite costly was in place. Being an MBA student we didn’t had a choice but to use the paid services. There are 3 boys and 2 girls hostel. The girls hostel are allotted on twin and triple sharing but in boys it was 2/3/4 sharing. Most rooms were given on double occupancy. Someone from the room has to be present when the rooms get cleaned as it was cleaned daily. The rooms were fully furnished as it has AC, cupboards, tables, and beds. The number of bathrooms are quite high but are common. One don’t have to wait long because the number of bathrooms are high but still it should be attached I feel. We used to get free by 6 and after that we were allowed to use sports facilities like basketball, badminton, and lawn tennis till 8.30. The management was strict as after 8.30 the sporting facilities were all closed. Overall, I enjoyed staying at the Nirma hostel.

The college was vast and green right from the word go. Among the facilities that it included, it has the best classrooms. The huge library that helped us gets all the projects done on time. Separate boys and girls hostel buildings. The sporting facilities at the campus were great but the timings were strict and had if’s and but’s for the terms of using them. There are 2 labs at the campus. One is computer lab while one is a communication lab. The communication lab was the place where we were taught communication skills as it is the most important skill for a management student. In addition to these, there was a good cafeteria, a gym, auditorium, and a recreation room.

The campus made us in lockdown in 2016 itself. I hardly stepped out during those 2 years as we didn’t had even half an hour free to step out. Even after coming back our chats was regarding what next and that didn’t end until we finished the course. I have conveyed all my ideas and I hope that it helps you.
