BJB Autonomous College B.A Review By Akash Maharana

Overall Buxi Jagabandhu College is a good college. Here the educational facilities are world class, and the college fees are very minimal like Three thousand rupees a year. Every student can opt this college as; there are hostel facilities, I am glad to have a student at this college. I have studied my 11th and 12th in this college, the environment which I got here nowhere else I will get. So, it's my good luck or fortunate to me to study 5 yrs in this college. I usually studied in graduation second year of sociology department. The department which I have studied right now is giving me a platform to express my ability and my capabilities in another field. It helps me a lot. Sociology department teacher and our HOD mam are good and good efforts to all students. They basically focus on our academic studies and other skill development. Now also I am a student of NCC which makes me disciplined and learn much more things from this platform. Other student department is also good nature and help in every situation. In academy style the Institution also programmed many seminars for students’ development and also many more workshops. Institution also celebrates and observes every auspicious day of India and creates awareness for student.

Institution has one library and library also have separate self-study room for all students. There is a timetable for student to issue and read book in there. There is also having boys’ common room and girls’ common room for self-study, the institution divided into two parts one is science block and another one is arts block.

As I am a student belongs to sociology student, so the department have 5 teachers one is our HOD mam, Dr. Bibhabari Bal and other 4 teacher is guest faculty, they are more helpful, they also conduct one Proctor class in a week for student problem. Teachers help in student to create their future; they motivate us in every field.

There is no placement review, but it is much minimal. Student also getting jobs and some also are not getting jobs.

There is one hostel for SC and ST for boys, and there is hostel for SC and ST for girls then two new hostels are making for boys and girls.

Institution infrastructure is far better than other as this year PG classes are opened so; it is difficult to handle much amount of student in one building. Institution having two blocks one is science block and another is arts block. In science block it is long rectangle shape structure and arts block is seventh floor building.

Campus life is good, there is celebration of freshers’ party and farewell party, campus has one playground, where our annual sport is held. Campus environment is good for a student, and I guarantee that a student must learn something from this campus. Campus has one garden and having nature addicted.
