Mody University B.A Review By Jhanvi Thawrani

As a current student of Mody University, it is one of the best universities for women to persuade their education and enhance their knowledge and build a better career opportunity. No doubt, it is the safest place for women without any fear and with full security policies. The university is built upon a huge land area and has a lush green and beautiful campus along with beautifully designed architecture. The university aims at women empowerment in not only academics but also in every field according to their interests whether it is sports, management, or extracurricular activities like dance, singing, etc. The admission process of the college is easy but it is lengthy too and consumes more time. The admissions are on a merit basis for undergraduate courses and there are no entrance tests for them. The minimum marks required for admission are 60%.

In academics, I am pursuing my studies in Bachelor’s of Arts (Hons.) in English literature. The university follows the semester system and according to it, the subjects differ which gives a great chance to enhance the knowledge deeply in my subject. You can also opt for some extra subjects according to your interest such as the university allows you to learn other foreign languages like French and many more. Other than my subjects, the university provides many subjects like management, science, designing, etc., and PhD courses almost in all streams. There are extracurricular activities conducted regularly and there is one fest a year. All the occasions and festivals are celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy. To enhance the knowledge and personality of the students, many workshops, debates, learning, and interactions are organized here.

The faculty of the university is highly qualified and experienced. The number of faculty is hard to tell in my course there is a total of 8 teachers. The maximum faculty of the university are Ph. Ed holders in their respective specialized subjects. Some lecturers have also got published their pieces and research works. In my opinion, I cannot get a better faculty than this university provided. The management is so good that no student has to face any problem regarding anything. A friendly relation built between teachers and students that students can ask their doubts comfortably. The faculty also give their main focus on the poor and below-average students and provides them time-to-time guidance.

The placement facility is provided for the students in the university. The placement department is limited with some departments only under it. Every department does not get a placement facility and my department is one of them. The department of management, designing, engineering, architecture, etc. is some of the departments where placements are done strictly and the university has connected with numerous big companies and MNCs. In my stream, the proper guidance is provided by the teachers related to future aspects and scopes in which we can set our career.

The hostel is very good and comfortable with all the facilities provided. There are many rooms in the hostel which are well furnished and are air-conditioned with good space. The hostels are hygienic and cleanliness is given more importance. Two students are allowed to stay in one room. There are two wings of each hostel and each hostel has two wardens for the security purpose of the students who do their duty efficiently. The washrooms are hygienic and cleaned on regular basis.

The university campus is spread in a huge area of 265 acres. The campus is so beautiful and decorated with different plants, trees, flowers, street lamps, and many more. There are different buildings provided for every department. The university consists of two college buildings, one school, and two cafeterias. The mess of the university is one of the largest mess of India. There are two auditoriums on the campus which are built according to the number of students in the event. The university organizes different programs for each department. There is a great emphasis is laid on the field of sports too. There are many grounds built for different sports like basketball courts, hockey ground, tennis courts, etc. the roads are well developed and beautifully decorated with street lights and plants.

The campus is very huge and beautiful. There is much space on the campus and it is too safe that students can move freely anywhere and anytime. Everything is provided on the campus like a temple, cafeteria, bakery that we don’t need to go out for this purpose. The minibus facility is provided on the campus as it is a huge campus and consists of many roads. The security of the campus is given utmost importance. There is at least one guard on every road and there are no exits and entries without the proper identity proof and gate pass. There is a hospital facility too provided with ambulances on the campus. Overall it is a safe place for women and a great place to set a perfect career.
