Mody University Laxmangarh has a Career Development Centre

I joined this University in 2019, enrolling into their B.A.LL.B (Hons.) programme. Being a women's institution, the safety and security measures within the campus well-assured my family. The course is well-structured and designed to accommodate fruitful learning. The faculty of Law is well-qualified and helpful. If you're a RJS aspirant or preparing for Government exams, joining here would prove to be a smart decision. Apart from that, the Central library with a vast collection and variety of books and e-books wouldn't be a miss.

I opted for my chosen course with the motive of preparing for Government exams. The entry process is nothing to worry about. You can get enrolled as long as you have passed 12th without any backlogs. Apart from semester finals, there are two unit tests conducted each semester. The course structure for the Law students is not entirely academic. The University also gives you the practical experience through annual Moot courts and internships.

I had paid around Rs. 1,50,000/- per semester including hostel and academic fee. During that time, they were granting scholarships for certain brackets of CLAT UG and 12th percentages. I got 45% scholarship for 84% marks in Class 12th. However, the concession is only on the academic fee. One of my friends got 100% scholarship on the academic fee for securing 93% in 12th Standard. The aggregate amount for the whole course, including in-Campus accommodation can be approximated at Rs. 15,00,000/-.

The faculty of Law is well-qualified and really helpful, providing extra classes for the academically weaker students. The classrooms are well-equipped with projectors for better learning. We would engage in group discussions and debates to understand the topics in an efficient manner. During my time at the University, Rohit Sir and Pooja Ma'am took out their valuable time once a week, to take special classes for RJS aspirants. One can also expect great help from the faculty for career guidance or with non-academic issues.

Like I had mentioned earlier, the Law department of the University is great for students preparing for Government exams. This Institution also has ties with various firms as well. Most of them which are Rajasthan-based. There is a Career Development Centrewhich allows you to apply in your final year, preparing you for interviews and CV-building. It is quite fitting for Internships.

My pleasant experience at Mody University Laxmangarh was magnified because of the great hostel rooms and flavourful food. It made my 5-year stay extremely comfortable. The most important part is I did not miss home. The mess food is loaded with variety of healthy options and the menu changes every day. Paneer is on the menu every alternate day, and Chinese food is available on Sundays. The hostel rooms are allotted on twin-sharing basis with an option between AC and non-AC. You would have your own study table with a pin-up board. And, laundry service is available on an additional pay of Rs. 10,000/- per semester. The timings are strict and you are expected to be present for your roll call at 10:00 PM sharp.

Initially for a few weeks, I used to feel lost in the middle of a vast Campus area and numerous blocks. However, it all settles in after sometime and there's shuttle service running 24/7 inside the University to help you with that. It is loaded with all the facilities you could think of such as ATM, gym, beauty salon, greenhouse, playgrounds, cafe and a store for your daily necessities. The classrooms on the other side can accommodate over 100 students without being congested. Most importantly, there's a clinic with a lady doctor and nurses available whenever you're in need. Personally, my favourite part during my time was spotting peacocks and strange blue birds in the Institution grounds.

The Campus life is pretty vibrant. We had annual fests and activities conducted by the management. And, there were clubs organised and run by our seniors. I was a part of the Debate and the Arts club as a student. The environment among the freshers and seniors is pretty friendly and helpful. Our seniors provided us with notes, books and advice in times of need. Also, every Sunday a movie is screened in the main auditorium and you get an outpass to go shopping in the local area. You name it and Mody University Laxmangarh has it I definitely enjoyed my stay at this Institution to the fullest.
