Review on Siliguri Institute of Technology

Overall Rating
Institution is very large and pleasant. Students will get enough resources and books and help from the faculty and other college members. Alumni are also very helpful and help in overall every matter. College is ragging and restriction free so you are free to enjoy but the curriculum is not that great and very outdated. One must keep himself up to date with this generation through themselves.
 

Academics Rating
This course is basically B.Tech course which is integrated with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. One can get the exposure of research field in AI and development of AI integrated software and hardware. Entry requirement is through JEE or WBJEE entrance or one can do diploma if 3 years and then enter this course. Motive for enrolling in this program is to get research exposure in AI field.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members are very helpful in every manner. They provide adequate knowledge for this course and provide online study materials so that we can study ourselves. They are professional and had at least a B.Tech degree. Their style of teaching is very great in every manner but not every teacher is very good. Some got very much knowledge but fails to deliver that to students.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, our college has a Placement Cell and helps students by giving them proper industrial training every semester.

Infrastructure Rating
Campus is great and very old. Recently it became 25 years. Books are also that old. Most of the books are of 2012-2013 year published. Course curriculum is also very much out dated. Buildings are recently coloured and looks great but not every room got AC except that labs. Monitors are present but not often used while teaching.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is very boring. Only study is there. Events are mostly around the semester exams so that students fail to enjoy and those events are not that great so to say. Events are not that frequent, mostly 2-3 events maximum for the whole year. Though engagements activities are frequent and lectures from different great people are delivered throughout the course.

    The environment of our Institute is very peaceful. Being amidst of the beautiful tea garden, it actually soothes the mind of the students and creates a sound full environment for studying.     Siliguri Institute of Technology is one of the best placement provider institutes in North Bengal. This institute is located in Sukna, Siliguri. I was a WBJEE candidate so through the WBJEE counseling I got admitted to this institute. My rank was around 19,000 so it was quite difficult for me to get a Government engineering Institute.     The overall review of my college is not so good yet not so bad; you have well qualified teachers and well equipped laboratory for experiments. The college provides 5 programs for B.Tech. In the first year, you will be provided bus service from college gate to first year building (DESH building) then after October i.e. after freshers, the bus service will be stopped....     Siliguri Institute of Technology provides different professional courses like B.Tech (CSE, CE, ECE, EE, AIML, IT, and Data Science), Hotel management, Hospitality Management, BBA, MBA, Nursing, B.Sc, Polytechnic Diploma, BCA, MCA, and more.
