Overall Rating
The overall review of my college is not so good yet not so bad; you have well qualified teachers and well equipped laboratory for experiments. The college provides 5 programs for B.Tech. In the first year, you will be provided bus service from college gate to first year building (DESH building) then after October i.e. after freshers, the bus service will be stopped.
 

Academics Rating
The college offers 5 B.Tech programs like CSE, CSE (AIML), IT, civil, electrical, and ECE. The eligibility criterion is that you can get admission through entrance conducted by West Bengal government which is known as WBJEE and other entrance is JEE Main. But you can also get a seat through direct admission; only 10% seats are available for that.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties our college has are well qualified. Some are from prestigious institutions like IITs or NITs; they have completed their Ph.D degrees from there. Some are master’s holder. All the faculties are good and interactive; they teach in nice manner where you can learn easily about the course.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, my college has a Placement Cell. Yes, it helps in placement of students; they teach students about how to prepare for the placements and all. College introduced aptitude subject from first year to prepare students from first year for the placements. The companies that visited are TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, etc.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is good. It has four buildings; one main building, DESH building, library, and nursing building. You will get a whole building for library which has about 20k books to read. Reading section is also good, you can study there from 11AM to 6PM. The college has a main building which has students of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year. DESH (Department of Engineering Science and Humanities) has students of only 1st year. Nursing has its own building.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus life is good. You will get a garden with lots of greenery and outside the gate, you will get a lot of cafes. College has clubs for photography, art and craft, and drama where many students are participating. The annual fest held by the college is Sitara which is held in the month of May where famous singers are invited.

    Siliguri Institute of Technology is one of the best placement provider institutes in North Bengal. This institute is located in Sukna, Siliguri. I was a WBJEE candidate so through the WBJEE counseling I got admitted to this institute. My rank was around 19,000 so it was quite difficult for me to get a Government engineering Institute.     Siliguri Institute of Technology provides different professional courses like B.Tech (CSE, CE, ECE, EE, AIML, IT, and Data Science), Hotel management, Hospitality Management, BBA, MBA, Nursing, B.Sc, Polytechnic Diploma, BCA, MCA, and more. Placements are very good as per other colleges in Siliguri. This year highest placement package was 51 LPA and average was 5-6 LPA.     Institution is very large and pleasant. Students will get enough resources and books and help from the faculty and other college members. Alumni are also very helpful and help in overall every matter. College is ragging and restriction free so you are free to enjoy but the curriculum is not that great and very outdated.
