Poor academic environment in GNIOT

Overall Rating
GNIOT is affiliated to AKTU and here we can get the admission through JEE Mains marks or UPSEE. But as a student who really wants to enhance his knowledge I would not suggest anyone to join Greater Noida Institute of Technology as here the prime focus is how to make each and every student pass the semester examination instead of focusing on enhancing his/her knowledge.
 

Academics Rating
I got admission in GNIOT through UPSEE and I did manage to get fee-waiver seat as my marks was good enough. The branch which I choose here is mechanical engineering as here the best faculty is of mechanical engineering, but here they don't focus on enhancing your practical knowledge rather they focus on how they can make you a learning parrot. The academics are really very poor here.
 

Faculty Rating
The best faculty here of Mechanical engineering, all the professor's who are working here are form NITs or a well known University. Apart from the mech department the condition of other branches is not so good here. The teachers who are teaching here have good amount of experience nearly of about 5-10 years and they do teach the subject well and they will also give you many assignments and quizes to check your performance.
 

Placement Rating
GNIOT Placement is extremely poor. Even the placement ratio for CSE/IT department is also not so good, the average salary I would say was nearly 3 LPA for CSE/IT students. And when I was in college the whole batch of mechanical students were without any placement although many companies visited here but they didn't hire anyone. Highest package received was by a student of CSE which was of Rs. 7.5 LPA and placed in TCS.
 

Hostel Rating
There are two separate hostels here one for girls and one for boys. GNIOT Hostel rooms are not so spacious and there isn't single room available. Basic necessities like water cooler, cooler, park are provided here. The quality of food here is so bad that you'll have to order food for every single day. And one thing which I forgot to mention is that the management always craves for money they won't allow a single student to live in hostel if he forgot or if he wasn't able to pay his fee installment.
 

Infrastructure Rating
GNIT Greater Noida campus is very big, it is the biggest in whole Greater Noida excluding the like Sharda University, Amity Greater Noida. Here the first year students' building is separate to prevent them from any kind of ragging. Here the basketball court, and cricket ground is provided and there're number of canteens out here in campus for food and chill. Library is good but the books here's are of mainly local writers not much to explore.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is not so good, although fests like cultural, sports get organized at every 3 months but the level of competition is average and you don't have many more things to explore, it is like as if it is one of formalities of college which they have to do. Here you'll be bound with just academic activities even teachers will force you to stop joining such clubs. Overall the campus life here is very much similar to school life you don't get the freedom here to do anything.

    My overall experience in this Institute is very good with faculty and all the faculty members are great here. The fees are decent and many certification courses are also available here. There is one thing that is different is the quality of education. There are also soft skills and aptitude course that help in getting jobs. Training classes are also held which teach advance coding.     Overall, the institute provides a friendly environment and infrastructure to the students. The teachers are familiar with the current technical trends and teach us accordingly. The professors always complete the syllabus on time and always help us throughout the subject. From first year students to the last year, all the students are provided training for aptitude and soft skills along with the aid in publishing research papers and mini projects in second and third year....     GNIOT’s engineering is quiet good, the placement scenario are also good like 60% to 70% students get placed here. Mass recruiter companies like TCS also visited the college and some students got placed in other reputed companies in off campus placements through GNIOT Alumni network.
