My Academic Journey in MAIT New Delhi

Overall Rating
My overall experience has been decent with a focus on my academics as well as my development. It has a structured curriculum that aligned with industry standards. The environment is engaging but there is a room for improvement in administrative approaches. I chose MAIT New Delhi for its reputation, placement opportunities, and affordability. It provides great exposure to industry. it has a great alumni network to connect with. Institute frequently invites industry professionals for interactive sessions.
 

Academics Rating
I am currently enrolled in B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering as I always had interest in the technology of communication systems. You can be enrolled in the institute through your scores of JEE Main. Management quota is also available for the students who are unavailable to perform well in JEE. 12th board marks are kept in consideration for them. Lateral entry is also provided to students who have done Diploma in 2nd year. There are two semesters in a year. Each semester has 2 midterm exams, internal quiz, and internals & external practicals.
Fee for B.Tech is Rs. 1,79,000 that is very decent for a top tier engineering institute in Delhi. Registration fee for admission is apart from the tuition fee, which is barely Rs. 5,000. Students with poor financial background get scholarships as well as strong support from administration.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members of B.Tech are highly qualified. Most of them are PhD graduates from reputed institutes. They have years of academic as well as industrial experience. PPTs are used to teach technical subjects whereas group discussions are used for Human Value subjects, which is also important for personal development. Faculties not only solve the academic related problems but also provide any kind of mental health support. The teacher to student ratio is satisfactory. I have quite strong bond with few of my faculties who help me beyond the curriculum to make me a better person.
 

Placement Rating
Placements are carried out by career development cell of the institute. CDC organizes mock interviews, resume building sessions and career counseling sessions for the students. The cell also conducts internship fair for students to get a good exposure in the industry. Renowned companies such as Zepto, ZS, etc. visit for placements in the institute. Although I am not yet placed but I have a strong belief that my skills as well as its exposure will help me crack one.
 

Hostel Rating
Institute has a great boys’ hostel with clean rooms and 24/7 security. Mess food is hygienic and very much satisfactory. Although the institute lacks girls hostel but there are several PGs and flats nearby institute available at a decent price. Boys’ hostel is quite expensive but has a best hostel life. My batch mates said that their money was worth for the experiences and friendships they had. Hostel rules are not that strict and flexible for someone with genuine reasons but unnecessary violation of rules is not accepted.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are 11 blocks in total for different courses with high tech laboratories and lecture halls. Campus size is not that big but no compromises are made for the students. Classrooms have a capacity of 70-80 students with projectors, ACs. Excellent library & auditorium is available to support students' ambition. There are hygienic and affordable canteens available for students. Hospital is at a walking distance for any emergencies. My favorite part of MAIT New Delhi is stands as they are the most vibrant part where students always chill with their friends.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life is good. Institute crowd is pretty decent. There are different cultural as well as technical clubs for the students who have interests apart from academics. It helps in building character of the students. I am part of the career development cell as well as the incubation cell of the institute. Institute organizes a technical cum cultural fest ‘TnM’ each year to celebrate the institute life. Apart from these different cultural societies like Rotaract, also organize different events to keep the institute life light. My experience so far has been very good and I hope to end the institute life on a good note

  • MAIT New Delhi's Career Development Cell and Job Opportunities

    MAIT Delhi is IPU affiliated and self financed institute. Campus life is boring and average. Infrastructure is good for CSE related branches. My mentor told me for first year you only need 40% overall attendance to give end sem exams. Teachers are also decent. We have to do many assignments and file work. Placement culture is also average, mass recruiting companies hire mostly for 4-5 LPA. If you only want to do CSE, you can prefer MAIT Delhi.... Read Full Review

    My experience of MAIT New Delhi is quite good. I chose the institute because it was in my home city. The coding culture academics and college life is good in comparison of other IP affiliated colleges.     MAIT New Delhi is well maintained. Faculties are nice placements are decent. Student crowd is helpful and smart. Institute clubs are active and many fun activities occur here.
