Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, New Delhi: Promoting Coding Culture

Overall Rating
I chose MAIT after analyzing many things. Firstly, the attendance criterion was flexible so I would be able to focus on my skills too. Secondly, placements and fees were compelling. It is a decent institute. After joining here, what I liked the most about my institute is its coding culture which is really good and impactful. You would be impressed when you hear the accomplishments of your peers.
 

Academics Rating
Academically, gaining a good CGPA (above 8.5) in MAIT is not that tough if you know to study smartly in less time. This is something everyone knows and agrees here. Secondly, coming to the admission criteria, admission seats are given on the basis of JEE Main / IPU CET Exam score; for Management quota (12th grades), and lateral entry in second year is also provided. For admission in ECE branch of B.Tech at MAIT, one has to score minimum 85% (for General Category of Delhi). There are not age criteria as such.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty in ECE department of MAIT is average; our classes are held regularly. The faculties are somewhat strict. Most professors are Ph.D holders and many of them have done NPTEL courses too here. Sometimes, you may get bored during the classes.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have a good Placement Cell in our institute in which many students are involved. Internship Fairs are also organised for the students, and they assure that everyone gets a job. Some decent companies come here including ZS, but cracking the interview is solely dependent on your skills and knowledge.
 

Hostel Rating
Our institute has a boy’s hostel in the campus. There's no girl’s hostel. But many girl's PG's can be found just around the institute. Boys’ hostel charges are high, but the menu of the mess is good. Quality is average and one should not expect more from the rooms provided. Gym is also there. Hostel life is memorable, and you'll enjoy a lot here for sure. Seniors are friendly and supportive.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Our institute’s campus is not that big and might disappoint you. Sometimes you will think why these blocks are not painted but then you will see the library and forget it all which is not only big but well maintained with AC's, books and great seating arrangement. There are three canteens in the campus for your exhausted brain to relax. There is a spacious auditorium with a good Wi-Fi connection and famous stands are present in front of the ground where various activities are held regularly.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life here is average but events are held regularly in our institute such as hackathons, sports events, and cultural events will never let you bore. Crowd is intelligent and supportive. Fests such as TNM, in which popular artists like Raftar performed last year is what you'll be waiting for every year. Every year, HACKWITHMAIT is organized within the institute to support the coding culture.

  • MAIT New Delhi's Career Development Cell and Job Opportunities

    MAIT Delhi is IPU affiliated and self financed institute. Campus life is boring and average. Infrastructure is good for CSE related branches. My mentor told me for first year you only need 40% overall attendance to give end sem exams. Teachers are also decent. We have to do many assignments and file work. Placement culture is also average, mass recruiting companies hire mostly for 4-5 LPA. If you only want to do CSE, you can prefer MAIT Delhi.... Read Full Review

    My experience of MAIT New Delhi is quite good. I chose the institute because it was in my home city. The coding culture academics and college life is good in comparison of other IP affiliated colleges.     MAIT New Delhi is well maintained. Faculties are nice placements are decent. Student crowd is helpful and smart. Institute clubs are active and many fun activities occur here.
