B.Tech IT Program at MAIT Delhi

My experience of MAIT New Delhi is quite good. I chose the institute because it was in my home city. The coding culture academics and college life is good in comparison of other IP affiliated colleges. The thing that is different here is surely the leniency like the attendance criteria is chill and study pressure is also very less. It is very easy to score a good CGPA.

The course I chose is B.Tech in Information Technology. I chose it because I like coding, but I did not get Computer Science branch. The entry requirements are JEE exam and 10% seats are for management quota. They are like for the students who score well in board exam. The admission process is very simple. We have to register through IPU counseling. the frequency of exams about two mid exams in a semester and an end-sem. Right now, I am in first year, so cannot tell that if the academics prepare for real life challenges are not because right now.

Therefore, first of all, you have to pay Rs. 90,000 for the IP counseling. Then, after taking the admission, you have to pay another Rs. 95,000. Therefore, the total is Rs. 1,85,000 for the first year. Then for the second year, its one Rs.1,74,000 and every year there is a bit increase. So approximately total fees would be around seven Lakh for four years. Yes, there are several scholarships for people who fall into the EWS category, and if they are of SC,ST, and OBC categories.

I must say that the faculty members are very good and very supportive. They did not pressurize students for academics. In addition, every faculty is a PhD degree holder and the method of teaching is on whiteboards and group discussions. Apart from their course, they also teach real life values and what is happening in the industry. Teacher to student ratio would be around 1 to 200. Yes, the faculties are very much approachable. They can help at any time.

The infrastructure is a bit old fashioned and MAIT New Delhi must be renovated. The campus size is about 15 acres. The college is very far away from the nearest metro station. The canteen is good at reasonable prices. Sports facilities are okayish like we have a main ground where football and cricket is played. Then, we have a badminton separate court, which is paid. The charges are Rs. 200 for an hour for four people. Then we have a gym, which can be have better equipment. In addition, there is a table tennis court. There is a basketball court. The favorite thing is the 11th Block, which is newly built in the college because it has a good infrastructure.

The college crowd is very decent and the cutting culture is fine. There are a lot of active societies and many fests, events take place very frequently. The campus life is good but not as good as tier 1 college. Overall decent college life. The main fest of a college is on a very big scale and last year. Raftaar came here and every year big artists come to perform.
