United College Naini is one the prestigious colleges in Allahabad and is well known for its academics and reputable faculties. It is affiliated with Abdul Kalam Technical University and holds no. 1 position in the whole Allahabad city since a decade. I got admission in this college through UPSEE but you can even get admission into this college through your JEE marks or you can take direct admission as well. United College of Engineering & Research management working is very much similar to the working of other colleges and they're quite supportive and always stand by the student's side.

I have done my B.Tech in civil engineering from this college and I graduated in the year 2017. I have chosen civil engineering because it is quite easy to visualise and the field of designing always attracted me. The subjects which were taught to me were good enough for preparing any engineering competitive exams. The syllabus of civil engineering that was taught to us was also a major part of GATE and ESE as well. But here you'll get to learn more theoretical knowledge instead of exploring practical things.

In this college you'll get both bad and good types of teachers but luckily during my session I got knowledgeable and experienced teachers for my core subjects as the faculty staff kept on changing in middle of session which makes it difficult for the students to complete the syllabus. During my session there were approximately 150 faculties and staff members in total. Most of the teachers who teach here are graduated from NITs and IITs and have good command over their subjects. Due to large number of students in a classroom it becomes difficult for the teachers to clear individuals doubt but when asked personally they'll surely help you out.

The placement rate is 65% in this college, the college gives you enough chances and opportunities to do internship under the renowned companies and these internships are really helpful during the campus placement. When it comes to mechanical and civil the placement is not up to the marks, few core companies visit here and I'm not satisfied with the working of college placement cell. IT companies like Accenture, Wipro, Capgemini etc. frequently visits here. And mostly the core companies that visit here offer the package of Rs. 2 LPA which is not good enough for a civil student.

The college provides the hostel facilities for both boys and girls. I used to stay in the college boy's hostel in my initial year and then I shift to PG after my 3rd year. The food quality of college mess was very bad and they provided unhygienic services and eventually I fall sick. The college hostel was very expensive and was not according to the services they were providing to the students. We were not allowed to enter into hostel after 10 pm and for girls the deadline was 7 pm. The annual fees of a single room that the college charges was 85k and for a double sitter room it was 70k and additional charges were imposed on students on using the water cooler, A.C and parking lot.

The college provides a separate building for first year students so that they can interact less with the seniors and safe themselves from getting ragged. The college has a very large library and good collection of books is there but first year students are not allowed to enter into the library unless it is a break time going on. The chemistry labs are also there and it is well equipped with the necessary equipment. The garden and park inside the college campus is so fascinating that it attracted many celebrities to shoot here. A large playground for cricket is provided in the campus and there is also a room reserved especially for the medical facilities.

I was a member of sports club and I did represent my college at state level along with other students in the game of kabbadi. Surprisingly the College supported me in the sports activities. There are various other clubs in the college such as tech club, cultural club, drama club and many more. College used to promote nukkad-natak on high scale. United College came into limelight when they organized the inter-level fest and students from other colleges took part in it. Due to students from different states taking admission in the college there is huge diversity that can be felt.
