UCER Prayagraj is Ideal for B.Tech Students

I am a student of B.Tech CSE department 2nd year of United College of Engineering and Research, Prayagraj. To be precise it is located in outskirts of Prayagraj named Naini. It’s at a beautiful location which has a pleasant weather except in Summers. Taking about size and area it is good enough and spacious. Proper bus facility is available. Teachers a well educated and are great mentors. Faculty is working hard for students welfare. Hostel facility is good for both girls and boys. Overall it’s a best place for those who haven’t scored well in JEE exams targeting gov colleges. Our college offers courses like B.Tech in CSE, EE, ECE, Civil, Mechanical, and also BBA, MBA.

I am B.Tech CSE 2nd year student. Considering its a private college, academics are decent here. Students from both normal boards as well as JEE background are there. You have to work hard on your own if you want a good job from on campus as well as off campus. Admission to this college is through JEE score or direct admission. The process is easy. There are total 8 semesters in B.Tech, which you have to give sem exams affiliated to AKTU. We have a center library as well which issues our Sem text books.

B.Tech fee is 1.2 LPA. For some branches like EE & EC, it is Rs. 80,000 to 1 LPA. Students who have qualified JEE and have scored above 80% and have EWS certificate can get 70% rebate in tuition fees. Scholarship facility is there from UPGOV scholarship which gives around 50% amount of the tuition fees to eligible students falling under OBC, SC, &ST category. The education loan facility is there.

Faculty is overall good. Teachers and professors work hard to nurture up students. Most of the faculty are PhD here. Faculty to student ratio is around 17:1 here which is a decent number. Teachers have profound knowledge. They help us in mentorship and providing excellent information and support. Our bonding is very good too. Some notable professors like Vijay Sir and Prashant Sir are very helpful and have very good knowledge in latest technology.

We have our placement cell named CRC which is situated in our central library. The CRC faculty works very hard for final year students for their placements. Our college conducts Hackathons for students upliftment. It also conducts various tech events and non tech events like sports and extracurricular. This year in 2025-26, some mass recruitment companies like TCS, Infosys, and Dell visited our campus and chose around 200 students with average package of 4 LPA which is decent. Placement experience is fine with students focusing hard on reasoning, quants, and communication. CRC team provides efficient support for its students.

We have two main hostels in our college. LSDG for boys and RLG for girls. Both have everything equipped. Hostel fee is Rs. 65,000 for 3 seater non AC, Rs. 75,000 for 2 seater non AC, Rs. 80,000 for 3 seater AC, Rs. 90,000 for 2 seater AC. Both the hostels have same prices. Mess price is included. For AC rooms, electricity charges are extra (Rs. 15 per unit). Mess food quality is average and is vegetarian. Hostel has proper hygiene and everything is properly maintained. Electricity is available 24/7. For girls, hostel gate closed at 9 PM for security reasons. I am a hostler. The experience is fine. There is no ragging here.

Our campus is built on 100 acres. It has 5 blocks each of 1st year, EC, EE, and CS branches. We have our central library as well which has all required books and notes. Campus size is perfect for students. Its located in Naini Industrial Area. Our classroom is well lit and spacious, 70 students capacity. AC is available for summer heat. Labs, seminar hall, and conference hall are well maintained and regular events are conducted here. We have a sports stadium as well where regular event goes on. Medical facilities are readily available. Transport is well equipped too with 25 buses running for local students in Prayagraj. Security guard are available everywhere at the campus 24/7. My favorite thing is the college park which is very beautiful and the garden as well. The CRC building is the best one where the placement cell works. Overall the infrastructure of UCER Prayagraj is perfect for college life. We have special food courts having all cuisines for students and professors.

Overall campus life of UCER Prayagraj is perfect. College crowd is normal, around 2000 students. Facility is well available. There are some student union clubs for both sports and academic activities. I am a part of coding club which works for backend development projects. There are a lot of extracurricular activities like sports, poetry, speech, events. We have 4 fests in a year. One on founders day on 14th April and rest on certain dates. My experience is fine till now, considering its my 2nd year here.
