Overall Rating
Our institute is well reputed in the west Bengal. And it is basically ICAR allied institute provide B.F.Sc, dairy technology and veterinary degree. After 12th I choose this institute to know the fishes and their life so according to higher secondary marks get admission to this institute. I suggest this institute for those students who have a great interest in fishes.
 

Academics Rating
Our B.F.Sc course has 4 year degree program and to get chance in this college any student should clear ICAR AIEEA UG exam if any candidate belongs from others state and for residential state students they can admit based on their HSC marks and their merit list. Students who have physics chemistry and biology can apply.
 

Faculty Rating
Our faculty professors are very good and their teaching style is very good and they teach us by seminars and projectors. Practical works are also very helpful for the students. All the teachers are from all over the India and their teaching style and their knowledge is so vast to teach us. Teachers are taking class so frequently and take extra classes also.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, placement after completing graduation. Different private companies come and take interview and offer jobs. And also West Bengal Government offer FEO post in different blocks.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, it has both boys and girls hostels and all the hostels are cleaned. All hostellers are provided with necessary furniture like tables, chair, light, fan, etc. All hostels are cleaned weekly basis.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Our campus academic blocks have total 10 departments and each department has its own laboratory, seminar rooms, extra rooms, etc. For UG 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year students there is separate classroom which have air conditioner and projector facilities. Our faculty situated on 25 acre land and here also have hatchery and fish farming ponds also.
 

Campus Rating
Our campus life is so enjoyable and there are almost 500 students in our college. Our college has separate clubs for sports, cultural, magazine, etc. Annual fests are held and annual sports and culture meet also celebrated and Teachers day, farewell and fresher’s day are also celebrated in our college.

    I am a student of B.F.Sc 4th year of West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences. It is very good institution, teachers are well educated and helpful. Every year at least 10-15 students get placement in various fish feed and fish products producing companies. Students can also appear for JRF exam and get a chance to study in the Central Institute of Fisheries Education, BOMBAY. It provides a great knowledge and interest about fishes and underwater animals of this world.     I am currently BFSc 4th year student. Our university is located in Belgachia. This University is accredited by ICAR and it is the only government facilitated fishery college in West Bengal.
