Overall Rating
As I have an interest in fishes and this course provides a good opportunity in future, that’s why I've chosen this course. One who have interest on ornamental fishes and fishery related things, can go for this course. This 4 year degree course provides a good opportunity for research and job in future.
 

Academics Rating
This is a 4 year professional degree course. Admission is based on 12th result. Apart from this, one can get admission by clearing ICAR exam. Main motive for enrolling this course is the course provides a good field which deals with various fish and fisheries relevant things. This course has a bright future as well.
 

Faculty Rating
There are total 80 members including professors in our faculty. Professors are from different states that completed their Ph.D from renowned University like Oxford, Habart etc. Their teaching way is so good and they are friendly with students. They teach with projectors and also in online mode once in a week.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, of course, there is good placement in our faculty. Placement programs takes place in every year which provides the students a good opportunity to get jobs in various industries related to fisheries. Several companies like Nexgen, Godrej Agrovet, and Aqua Doctor Solution come for recruiting students.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, there is hostel for both boys and girls in faculty. Three students stay in a room in UG level and 1 student in a room in PG level. Hostel is situated within the faculty and my hostel life is too good. Overall hostel infrastructure is good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are total 9 departments in this course and total 9 buildings are there for each department. These buildings covers total 200 hector area which is a vast area. Other amenities like mess facilities, practical lab facilities, research work facilities are also there.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life is too good and I really enjoyed this too much. Annual fests are there moreover, cultural meet, annual sports, FPL, Holi utsav are also celebrated here which all makes my campus life too good. One can really enjoy if he or she get admission in this faculty.

    I am a student of B.F.Sc 4th year of West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences. It is very good institution, teachers are well educated and helpful. Every year at least 10-15 students get placement in various fish feed and fish products producing companies. Students can also appear for JRF exam and get a chance to study in the Central Institute of Fisheries Education, BOMBAY. It provides a great knowledge and interest about fishes and underwater animals of this world.     I am currently BFSc 4th year student. Our university is located in Belgachia. This University is accredited by ICAR and it is the only government facilitated fishery college in West Bengal.     Our institute is well reputed in the west Bengal. And it is basically ICAR allied institute provide B.F.Sc, dairy technology and veterinary degree. After 12th I choose this institute to know the fishes and their life so according to higher secondary marks get admission to this institute.
