J.K. Institute of Applied Physics and Technology B.Tech Review By Tarun Pal Singh

It has 2 courses in B.Tech - Electronics & Communication Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering. It is a very reputed college and has a great history. Many of its alumini are at top positions within different organisations such as ISRO and DRDO. Best Part of the institute is the building and hockey ground which is of top quality. Academics are average as professors are not much into teaching. But some professors are great and knowledgeable. Apart from academics there are numerous events held for overall development such as Football tournament - SWAT, Cricket tournament and also hardball cricket tournament. Cricket ground is very well maintained here.

The college takes admission through JEE MAINS. For General category student to get admission 80 percentile is good. You should consider this college as there is no strict policy over attendance so that you can also focus on extracurricular activities and skills.

Faculty of JKIAPT is quite average but some of them are very knowledgeable and possess Ph.D form IIT's. However most faculty here does not teach very well. The college exams are not very hard to pass. There are only two or three professors who are interested in teaching and teach very well.

There is placement cell in our college dedicated to providing best placement for worthy students. Placements are provided which are a result of great alumni presence all over the India and the placement cells works hard to attract the companies. 2023 placement was quite good with an average package of 8.5 lakh per annum. Students are placed in companies such as India Mart HCL, TCS, Reliance, Tech Mahindra, Yahoo, and many more.

There is no separate hostel for JKIAPT. The hostels under Allahabad university are allotted to students. The hostel is average with good wifi. Infrastructure is quite old and messy. There are no recreational activities in the hostel. The mess of the hostel is closed on most of the days but food availability is not a problem here. As there are many other hostel mess nearby.

There is only one building dedicated to academics which has an underground level and total 3 floors. The structure is old but beautiful. There is one auditorium for college functions and various labs for Electronics and Computers. There are top quality grounds that are of National level such as hockey ground and cricket ground along with volleyball court and badminton court and also football ground.

The best thing about this college is its campus life. JKIAPT is located under Science faculty which has a very less crowd and is very beautiful. There is greenery everywhere around the college.
