KL University MBA Review By Ramesh Kumar

Studying at KL University Guntur was as beneficial as anything in my life. After a strong foundation for higher studies and Andhra being my preferred place, I decided to stick here and look for some MBA colleges in this region. KLUniver Guntur accepted a mediocre CAT score and was lucky to get the admissions here. They may consider the students with less percentile but offers great education and placement as many students were even placed abroad. KLU University Guntur delivered a world of good to me as placements obviously the top but the kind of training and education they gave was indeed an add-on. Now when I look back and see that many people in my organization who are from a better ranked college with me are rubbing shoulders with me as we have the same package make me realize that a top institute will only help you with initial placement but the training and learning received will take you further. I am not blowing my own trumpets but I have scaled highs in just 3 years of my work experience and will be crediting KL for that. It was the work ethics and discipline taught at KL that has helped me in my personal and professional life.

The focus was entirely on studies at KL. The kind of knowledge that the University provided through theory and practical was a pleasure. Everything was well managed that we never had to do the last minute things. A proper break before the exams and everything else was in place. No complain but if they could cut-off some of the lecture times that can actually benefit because some classes were lengthier than they were required. Also some unnecessary subjects were included that may have been beneficial for our personality development but didn’t had any relevance with the course.

The faculty of KL University was quite easy going. They all were pretty much the same as they had to follow their senior’s orders it seems. They however made it clear to us that students can approach them at any point in time and they were available. They took us for training outside the campus and even joined us during our internships. Their experience counted even during the placements as they vouched for us in whichever industry suited our skill set the most. One of the most kindhearted people were KL University’s faculty members.

Guntur has become the new IT hub and though IT was not my preferred sector had to apply at some IT companies as well. Banking and insurance companies had their eyes set on some of the students as they did their internships there and were might impressed with some of them. The large IT companies were all there and were initially skeptical in joining Infosys but they have a large scope for MBA students and Salil Parekh welcomed us all the organization was all that I needed. KL University Placements were around 8-10 lakhs p.a. In Guntur, I bet no other colleges will provide you placement anywhere close to this and this is why KL University is the best University in Guntur.

The hostel for boys and girls were inside the campus. The boy’s hostel was one of the biggest buildings of Guntur as a 10-storied building is rare in Guntur but KL University’s boy’s hostel was. Each floor had 30 rooms and all of them were spacious. 7th floor and some rooms of 8th floor were reserved for MBA students and that is where we all stayed. The common room was there on the 8th floor and there was also a separate study room on the 5th floor of the building. The food was also provided at the hostel and that was also delicious. Mostly only the south Indian dishes were served and the food was little spicy.

The campus was pretty huge and was spread across 100 acres of land. The library was huge and the 1st floor was where the librarian office was located. The discussion and reading area was also there in the 7 floor library. The auditorium was huge and there were 2 auditoriums at the University campus. The campus had hostels inside. Our building had a refreshment bar and I entered few more buildings and even they had the same facility. SBI branch was also there inside the campus with ATM facility. There was a recreation building that had Yoga centers along with many sporting facilities. The campus had 2 sports ground and proper courts for sports like basketball and volleyball. There was a retail shop, a Xerox shop, and stationery inside the campus. There was also a small nursing home and 2 ambulances parked in the nursing room. KL University’s infrastructure was simply amazing.

MBA at the University is not so popular as there were mostly engineering students seen at the campus. The hobby clubs were quite active and students of all streams were open to choose the club of their choice. The college fest celebration lasted for a week and every year some or the other personalities were called to grace the event. The University had enough for one to grow and develop any skills of their choice.
