Overall Rating
I have chosen Electrical and Electronics Engineering at GEC, Thrissur. It is the second top college that comes under KTU. I chose this college because of its placements and programmes. Choose this college if you want to pursue engineering as it will be a great choices. It is a good place with friendly people.

Academics Rating
I chose electrical and electronics for getting this course a candidates rank must be below 5000 for general candidates as in KEAM exam. By choosing this course you can shift to any field you want into electronics or even into coding if you got coding skills. Electrical and Electronics is a good course as the world is becoming electro-friendly.

Faculty Rating
As it is the second most reputed college under KEAM exam most of the faculties are good and dedicated. They are very open minded and do good for the children improvement in studies and other activities. They use smart boards as well as use normal board to teach all students.

Placement Rating
As it is the second most reputed college many companies like Oracle come here for placements.

Hostel Rating
Ladies hostel and men’s hostel is provided.

Infrastructure Rating
The college is so big and wide with a beautiful main block each department has its own space and freedom. All amenities are good including fans, tube lights, etc. Water filters are provided at each floor for the access of students. The campus is spacious with a wonderful ground and lab facilities.

Campus Rating
Campus life as I would say I just entered my college life and I would say I m enjoying my campus life with good friends. The fests that are happening, the welcoming events were so good that I can't even forget them. Many clubs like OASIS, IEEE, SAE, ISTE, etc. are active in the campus also if you have interest in dance and music you got opportunities.

GECT is one of the top engineering colleges in Kerala and the second best college for Architectural courses. Its most striking feature is exposure it offers which is incomparable to other colleges even. The campus is huge, providing space for football, basketball, hockey, etc. The library is also a central attraction. GECT is a 24 hour campus which allows students to have nightlife experiences which is not usually seen in other colleges even the top colleges in Kerala.... Read Full Review

    Overall Rating
The main reason I chose to enroll in this college is because it’s a government college as one of the 8 government colleges in Kerala. The fees you have to pay here to complete your course are negligible. The cheap cost is the major reason I chose this college. If you have enough rank in KEAM exam, you can study here. The courses offered are outdated (every Indian college’s are). The lab equipments are not very well maintained. The faculty members are good and teachers have a good grasp of re... Read Full Review

GEC college is the best college of the year. The college itself has 75 acres, which is a very big campus to enjoy. The college has various engineering courses like mechanical, production, computer, etc. Behavior of the teachers makes students more attracted to them for doubts and talks. College is near to railway station, bus stand, and travelling is easy. There are more places inside the campus for making conversations.... Read Full Review

  • Honest opinion about GEC thrissur

    Overall Rating
Government Engineering College Thrissur is one of the top-ranked state government institutes where you can get admission by scoring a decent rank in the KEAM examination. I wanted to study Mechanical Engineering so this is one of the best places where you can join. I recommend this college for several reasons some of them are: Gaining Practical Experience: there are some clubs which have strong roots set by our seniors like SAE where you learn so much about automobile manufacturing and design.
