Review of Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata

Overall Rating
This college is good when it comes to studies and placements. The environment is very positive and no ragging here. In laboratory classes you will learn a lot. Most of the teachers are very kind and friendly. I really love the campus, it's so peaceful. The library is there which is also a great place with peace where you can study with full concentration. You can even bunk classes and no one would know.
 

Academics Rating
You can get into this college through WBJEE however the cut-off is a bit more. You should be 12th pass for B.Tech course. Sports and GDSC club are most active here so you will learn and win a lot of cash prizes too. Hackathon happen here too. Campus is very positive and beautiful. It might not be like IIT but you'll feel good here.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members are very nice and helpful. They try their best to make their students score well. They also help a lot in placements too. Also if you are facing any issue then student’s counselor is also available here and all the things you share are confidential. The faculty members are well qualified and my maths teacher is from IIT Roorkee.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we do have Placement Cell and my hostel warden is a placement officer there too. They help students a lot during placements. They call and give students advice to do what to do and not to do for better placements.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is good but a bit expensive. I mean facilities are below average yet it is expensive. Sometimes we face a lot of issue here. But one thing is good that is safety. Also there are only girls hostel in the campus no boys hostel. So if you come here then take a proper look and then decide. Mess food is also not so good. A bit average. Sometimes it's very good but that's rare.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is quite good here. Airy classrooms, AC laboratories, 3 auditoriums, etc. There a 3 blocks here and are divided department wise. We have heritage school, heritage academy, and heritage law college also in the campus. It's very lovely here. The buildings are well built beautiful. For engineering 3 main blocks are there that comes under heritage institute of technology.
 

Campus Rating
This college doesn't hold fests at all. Campus is positive by the way. We celebrate almost all festival in campus. It's sometimes crowded sometimes it's not. Sports club is very active and we have sports wise grounds too. Club events happen a lot here and they are enjoyable. I hope they hold fests by the way it would add all the missing stars otherwise this college is very good.

    I got this institute based on WBJEE counseling through my JEE Main rank which was around 1,00,000. If you are someone looking for a decent institute in Kolkata, you can prefer this one but if you can afford going to Bangalore or Noida side then consider going there.     So basically I study in Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata. Our institute is located in the east Kolkata side, in Anandapur, Ruby area. The campus area of our institute is very good.     If you didn't score well in your JEE or WBJEE, then you can choose this college. Maybe it’s the best private college in Kolkata. Placement here is decent and the faculty members are average.     Overall the Institute is beautiful. The location of Institute is perfect with good campus area. I would recommend people to join this Institute. If you don’t get Jadavpur then this Institute should be your second choice. It was a good decision to join this Institute. Here people of same intellect are found with whom you can vibe.
