Maharishi Markandeshwar University Mullana B.Tech Review By Vinayak Joshi

My journey in MMDU Mullana University started four years back in 2017. I chose the course of B.Tech CSE. First day was the orientation day. All the students of my batch gathered in seminar hall. Faculty member told us everything about the university and then gave a tour of university. The suites started at day after orientation. We were given our first project in first semester. At first I was very scared about the project but then with the help of my group members and teachers I was able to submit the project at time. My degree was of four years and hence consists of eight semesters. I successfully completed my graduation and during the time period I learnt so many things from self discipline to punctuality. I think choosing MM University Mullana four years back was a good decision for me.

Academic part of B.Tech CSE at MMDU is good enough for the personal growth of a student. We have semester system here. Before the final exams of semester we have to go through two sessional exams. These are sort of monthly test but play an important role in final assessment. Apart from this every semester students were assigned with different projects by class teacher for example website making, app making project etc. The project also plays an important role in our academic marks. Weekly we have smart classes also. We have to attend lectures, labs, project discussion classes per week. There are holidays in every Saturday and Sunday in our university. Academic part of MMDU is good enough to attract the tons of foreigners every year.

I must say faculty of B.Tech CSE MMDU is very good. I never have to complaint about the teaching style of my teachers during the four years of my degree. But every coin has two sides and MMDU also have. If I talk about faculty of other departments then I heard many rumors about teachers. Actually our university is situated in a small town so there are some local teachers as well which don't have good enough teaching skills. But this is not the topic to worry. HODs of every department are very cooperative. If you once complaint about any teacher then next day either you will get a new teacher or the previous one will change their way of teaching. Some of the teachers are highly experienced with their degrees from foreign universities. So faculty of MMDU is mix match.

MMDU never compromise with the placements of students. Even in corona time, 95% interested students are getting placed in their desired companies. I myself got placed in one of the top multinational companies HCL. Other rank holder companies that placed students are Infosys, Wipro, TCS etc. This year the highest package was 10 lakhs per annum. If any student badly want placements and work hard for it then 100% chances are there that, he/she will get it. The placement record of MMDU is very clear from very beginning. Companies come for B.Sc, B.Tech M.Sc, MCA almost for every single course.

MMDU Hostels are also very good. There are separate for girls and well as boys. The water facility is very good in every hostel. There are other facilities also like fan, 24x7 water, ventilated room, bed, table and chair. The rooms are big enough for living. We can decorate our rooms according to us. There are separate hostels with AC for students who like luxury life. Students who are willing to take rooms with 3 students can also live in separate hostels. Usually MMDU assign one room to two students only. There are separate hostels for foreigners. The only problem is that there is common mess for some hostels. So students have to rush to common mess for every meal.

I think our campus is very beautiful with good infrastructure. The infrastructure of my department was on the mark. There are many desks in one room with smart classes in some rooms. There are AC and fans in almost every classroom. The buildings of campus are very unique and attractive. The rooms are very big with proper ventilation. There are some old buildings also which still have some old desks but they are also in good conditions. There are parks and play grounds in the campus where students can sit and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Along with academic MMDU also support curricular activities like sports, fashion prades, events, debate competition etc. Every years during the annual fest there comes a famous singer for star night. Also monthly competitions are also organised by several departments. There is no such thing like ragging in MMDU. Overall environment of MMDU is good for growth of student.
