Overall Rating
DAV College is the one of the oldest & most prestigious colleges of Jalandhar. The fees structure is also affordable. The faculty and staff members are supportive and cooperative. The infrastructure is also good. The admission procedures are easier compared to other colleges. The college is affiliated to Guru Nanak University (Amritsar) and its certificate holds value.
 

Academics Rating
I took BBA. Among the colleges which provided BBA in Jalandhar, DAV college was budget friendly and the best option available for the students of Jalandhar. The teachers are experienced and cooperative also. The eligibility was +2 in commerce and marks above 60%. Results copy, transfer certificate, and some other documents were only required.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty and staff members are cooperative but strict also. But they help with doubts and clear them. The teachers are well experienced and use both English and native language for teaching. The mid semester exams are also conducted before main semester exams. Regular class revisions and tests are also given. Assignments and many projects are done.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the college has Placement Cells and many students got placements in big companies last year.
 

Hostel Rating
Sorry, I don’t know much about it but according to information from my friends staying there, the hostel and mess are good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college is 100 years old as mentioned earlier, but the infrastructure is good, although it can be improved. There are blocks for different departments. The college is built in an old style and an eco friendly atmosphere is there. Plants and trees are there. Sitting lobbies are there. A special large library is also provided for studying and for reading books.
 

Campus Rating
College life is very good at DAV college. Students can engage and make many friends here. Many competitions are also conducted. NCC and other student cops units like navy and air force are also active, and conduct many camps at different places. Sports activities like hockey and cricket cups are conducted with 11 teams each. Annual days and other fests are also conducted. The special days like earth day, anti tobacco day, environment day, blood donation day, and many more are also celebrated in the college.
