Life at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi

Overall Rating
This university is Asia’s largest residential university and hence it provides ample opportunities and facilities to the students. There are various facilities like gym, swimming pool, a ground for various sports activities, central library, and the most important of all, a special health center for students only.
 

Academics Rating
The academics is decent here. They are more focused on the knowledge of books and they use traditional techniques for education. They have strict rules and regulations whenever it comes to education. The professors here take special note and attention to students; especially to international students.
 

Faculty Rating
There are different faculties for different departments and each faculty has their own rules and regulations by which they function. All their work is in coordination with the central association of the university. They have their own offices, their own auditorium, ground space, library, canteen, and many other facilities.
 

Placement Rating
The Placement Cell of Banaras Hindu University is not that active for now. The professors provide you with the recommendation letter but job fair or anything related to internships is not provided by the university.
 

Hostel Rating
Banaras Hindu University is Asia’s largest residential University and thus, it provides hostel facilities to almost all of its students. International students have a separate hostel for them and much better facilities are given to them.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of the university is huge. It is spread in a huge area and each department and faculty has been allotted a separate area. The buildings are beige and red in color which gives a glimpse of the past and a promising future. The traditional color of the university implies success and a bright future ahead.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus is huge with all the necessary educational facilities and not just that, it also provides other recreational facilities for students. The campus is quite safe even in the night as regular patrolling is done for the safety of the students. There is a whole another world when you enter the main Banaras Hindu University gate.

    For me, BHU Varanasi is one of the best universities in India to study Law. The biggest strength of the Faculty of Law here is its alumni network.   • BHU: Best of the Best
     

    Overall Rating
    As per IAS (Indian Agricultural Science), BHU is the 2nd NIRF ranking in India and 1st Agricultural university in India. Therefore, as I have to study from a best agricultural university and it is the best option. It has a yearly fee of 10000 INR only and hostel yearly fee of 5000 INR, providing a scholarship of 3000 INR per month to every student. As I am belonging to middle class, it is a best option....     As we all are aware that Banaras Hindu University is globally recognized university and one the prestigious university in India. The most important thing in making it so is the Academics part. As a student of Commerce department in BHU, I can tell you about my department only.
