BHU: Best of the Best

Overall Rating
As per IAS (Indian Agricultural Science), BHU is the 2nd NIRF ranking in India and 1st Agricultural university in India. Therefore, as I have to study from a best agricultural university and it is the best option. It has a yearly fee of 10000 INR only and hostel yearly fee of 5000 INR, providing a scholarship of 3000 INR per month to every student. As I am belonging to middle class, it is a best option.
 

Academics Rating
You have to qualify CUET UG entrance exam in subject combination of Biology/Agriculture, Chemistry, and Physics. Alternatively, you can get admission through the ICAR counseling also.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties of Agriculture are well-trained and highly educated ones. The professors and assistant professors have done their higher studies from higher institution like IARI, New Delhi, IITs, and IISc Bangalore, IAS BHU, and from USA and Germany. Many of them have also been involved in research scientists before and now are professors. They are for highly diversified culture as the faculties are from different states of India from South to North and West to East.
 

Placement Rating
As it is a professional degree of 4 years, many private limited companies come and provide a placement of starting from 4.5 Lakh Per Annum to 12 Lakh Per Annum. However, most of the students prefer to go for higher studies.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is about build in 1958 hence, the infrastructure is very nice having its own mess with good food. It also has GYM, study rooms, 24-hour electricity, sports complex, and Wi-Fi for students. 1 room is for 2 students, which is outfitted with 2 desks, 2 chair, 2 beds, and 2 almirah.
 

Infrastructure Rating
As Banaras Hindu University is oldest in Asia, made in 1916 (before independence), it has agricultural research labs that were made for the first time in whole Asia. Infrastructure is very beautiful and attractive like historical temples that every day foreign people come to see its beauty. It has its own agriculture farm of 160 acres, own horticultural field, green houses, and modernized labs.
 

Campus Rating
The life in the campus is very much interesting as it has about 150 departments in total along with 1700 complexes. It has IIT BHU and IMS BHU. It provides about 16 clubs like Dance, music, writing, dramatic, technical, photography, instrumental, and games club. It has an annual fest Srusti, and fresher’s party like Arambh and others also. Many sports functions are also organized.

    BHU Varanasi is a very reputed University with good ranking and has a very good environment. There are a lot of facilities available for students such as free bus services, free health check up and even free medicines for students at health centres by using their health card.   • BHU Varanasi Central Library is Called 'Sayaji Rao Gaekwad Library'

    I am from Banaras, so choosing Banaras Hindu University Varanasi came out as a great option for me. All the things here fascinate me like the green and the peaceful environment. Moreover, the central library here is 24/7 open and has numbers of books. Students come here from all over India and some from even different countries like Nepal and Bangladesh.     One of the factors that made me choose BHU Varanasi is its well-known central library, which provides lots of books as well as high seating capacity for the students to study. Another factor is its affordability and the reputation it holds.
