MCKV Institute of Engineering average package is around 7 LPA

Overall, the college is average. One should choose as per his or her choice and WBJEE ranks. The campus area is not very big. Classrooms are quite spacious. In labs ACs are installed. Library really has a variety of books for specific subjects and also from last year, our college has a digital library. Innovative tech ideas or startups are being supported by teams. Our college is not so good in sports, but yes, every year our college organises annual sports meet. Outdoor games are only included here.

We have to give 4 internals before every semester. Out college is semi autonomous, controlled by MAKAUT. For passing every semester, one should have above 5.9 SGPA. Questions are being asked in class to check your response and knowledge in subjects. In lab, viva and PPTs are also a part of exams. Suggestions and important questions are also discussed by every subject professor before semester exams.

Our professors do teach us well. Some of our faculties are extremely talented and help a lot with their subject but some teachers are least bothered about their subject. Overall, students have to study on their own rather than depending on the college faculties. Lab faculties do help you in lab classes.

Till last year 2023, the college magazine or brochure showed 100% placement. Some seniors with whom I used to talk, they told me that average students got 5-7 LPA, but 2 of them were extremely talented and highly skilled and got placed with 19 LPA and 14.5 LPA. Talking about present 2024, as per my seniors said, 20-30% students are already placed but due to market recession, students (my seniors) are not very satisfied with the packages that are provided.

Not a very big campus area. The campus contains 3 building blocks, a basketball court, and a canteen. Girl's hostel is attached with the campus. Boy's hostel is not attached with the campus. Wi-Fi is there but passwords are changed here often so we students can't use it. Common room is there where we can play indoor games. Gymnasium is also there but always locked up so students can't use the gym. In canteen, the menu is fully vegetarian and well priced.

Our cultural fest ‘utopia’ consists of 2 days. We students perform and artists are also called to perform. Tech fest ‘pragati’ consists of robotics, skills solving abilities, and video games. We do have clubs for extracurricular activities like Innovation club i.e. startup club, Risers Club to help the needy, Photography club, etc. From every department 2nd year onwards, we students organise events like coding competition, aptitude test, and problem solving skills tests. Talking about crowd, the seniors are very friendly and helpful as per my relations with them.
