B.Tech in Textile from UPTTI Kanpur

Overall Rating
I have completed B.Tech in Textile Technology from UPTTI Kanpur in 2018-2022 and this is a very popular textile government college in India and has completed 100 years. The most important thing is that the placement record is 100% with average package 3.5 CTC. I recommend you to visit the college campus once. College has latest equipment and instruments.
 

Academics Rating
There are 4 types of courses provided in B.Tech course which are Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, Manmade Fiber Technology, and Textile chemistry. Previously, they provided diploma courses also but now they don’t. Eligibility for getting admission in this college is JEE Mains results. Last year, highest placement provided to 23 students was 18 LPA.
 

Faculty Rating
All the professors are well trained and highly educated. They have published many books also. During 4 years and 8 semesters, every semester has 4-5 subjects. Starting 3 semesters will not be related to textile. They will have subjects like maths, electrical, physics, chemistry, mechanics, etc. Balance 5 semesters will be dedicated for textiles subjects.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, Placement Cell really helps students to get good campus placements.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is good along with infrastructure and food; all are above average.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Last year only government has passed a particular amount of budget for this college on the occasion of 100+ years for reconstruction of the building and purchased updated machines and books for students. Campus has different blocks like admin and office block, placement office cell, and campus auditorium for sports and indoor events, and classes along with library.
 

Campus Rating
During my time in 4 years, around 1-2 years were wasted due to Covid lockdown, so I was unable to enjoy my college life properly. But the time when I was in my college was great. Great sports events were organised every year. Around 200 students get admissions every year in this college through JEE Mains counseling.
