Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology, popularly known as RAIT was established in 1983 by the Ramrao Adik Education Society. It ranks first among all the colleges in Navi Mumbai. RAIT is a private institute located on the extensive campus of Dr. DY Patil University. National Assessment and Accreditation Council and AICTE accredited our college with an 'A' grade. It was ranked 172nd under the 'Engineering’ category of the National Institute Ranking in the year 2020. In 2019 my college ranked 11th amongst top engineering colleges, 7th in research by Times Group and 3rd amongst top private institutes. It is a privilege to study in a prestigious college like RAIT. Many film stars pass out from my college, the reason behind their brightening future was hardships and ultimate support of the institute. One of them was Arun Bhel. Dy Patil stadium is Astounding where famous cricketers come to play matches, Sachin Tendulkar takes cricket campaigns. The stadium is the best place to hang out, students get free entry to the stadium to watch the cricket match. Bachelors, Masters and PhD courses are available in RAIT, kick start your career at RAIT.

The college was affiliated with the University of Mumbai till 2020. But from the academic year 2021, it has turned into a private university. It provides 26 courses across 5 streams through JEE mains and CET held by the state of Maharashtra. I am a student of Computer Science and I joined RAIT back in 2019. One tends to choose any stream and course based on future scope. I took the admission in computer branch looking forward to future preferences. The selection is done through the merits. You need to clear the cutoffs to get an entry in your desired course. I am inclined towards software and development, my course fulfils all requirements that one will require in near future. The industry requirements too are accomplished and it gets easier to get placed in a good firm.

Teachers play an integral role in the development of a student. Faculty is my college not only focuses on academics but also on practical knowledge. I encountered most of the faculty their guidance paved the way to tackle many real-world problems during the completion of projects. We have blessed with the best faculty expertise in different emerging technologies. They have experience in teaching a minimum of 5 to 10 years and more. Most are Graduated and are pursuing PhD in their desired fields. The subjects given to them are taught professionally with their practical experiences.

RAIT is ranked 9th in terms of placement. Training and placement cell keeps the students updated with internship opportunities. This year most of the students got placed in top companies with an average salary of 4 LPA and the highest package was 15 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Cisco, Infosys, Microsoft, Byjus, Jio, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, etc. Students from the computer and IT batch were placed the most with top packages. Nearly 90 per cent of students got placed. TCS is the mass recruiter at RAIT. TPC makes sure to keep information about placements and aptitude tests on every student's fingers tip.

RAIT does not have any hostel for students to stay. Dy Patil University has a girls hostel for medical students, certain seats are reserved for our college girls. You can accommodate there and the stay is according to a first come first serve basis. The building is near to the stadium. The hostel is spacious and fully furnished. Certain rooms have AC's, depending on the plan you choose rooms are allocated to you. Per room, there are 2 girls or three girls. Hostel fees are nearly 1.5 lakhs per year. There is a canteen for only girls below the hostel building, complete lunch, breakfast and dinner is provided on daily basis. Cameras are installed at specific locations for security purposes. Female security guards are there 24/7 to ensure safety and protection.

RAIT has a very good infrastructure it is just situated just beside the dental college. Overall the campus has medical colleges, Engineering college (RAIT), girls hostel, hospital and gymnasium and lastly 4 to 5 canteens. It is a privilege to get admitted to this college. Talking about RAIT has AC classrooms, a mini auditorium to held sessions and seminars. Every floor is meant for a different department, with that, the labs of each branch is really cool. The computer department has three to four labs for year-wise students. The condition of computers is proper and good to learn. The library is my favorite place, it is spacious and big. The books section has every book needed during an engineering course and it is revived as soon as there are new releases. Everything in the library is systematic and abides by the rules.

Horizon is the biggest cultural festival in Navi Mumbai. Concerts are eye-catching during Horizon. Life at RAIT is full of fun and enhancement. Technical and non-technical committees organize various competitions, hackathons and seminars for the development of students. These committees are for the students and by the students. A technical fest of 3 days is organised wherein one can improve public speaking, sponsorship, time management, singing, dancing and other skills. Overall it is best for personal growth and knowledge.
