Academics at RAIT Navi Mumbai: Exams, Faculty, and More

My overall experience at RAIT Navi Mumbai was amazing. Teachers teach really good. They have extensive knowledge about the subjects they teach, and they are always ready to clear your doubts. Although, if you are a sports person and if you want to represent your institute you won't get any support. Our sports committee majorly focuses on Football and Cricket. I am a professional Badminton player.

Academically, this institute is really good, if you are serious about your studies then you should go for this institute, Each semester is around 5 months. In the first month, you won't have any exams. The second month will be Internal Assessment 1, i.e. IA-1. Then in third month, mid- semesters are there, fourth month IA-2 and in the last month Oral/practical exams and end semester. The last month is the most stressful month of the entire semester. Also, there is a mini project, which we have to submit every semester.

Fee is bit high considering the companies packages. Every year, institute fees increases for new batch.

Faculty is good. Teachers teach here through smart boards. They mostly teach through power- point presentations. Maximum teachers are PhD holders. Teachers help students a lot to publish paper. Each student is given an learning management system (LMS) account. In the LMS, teachers upload their notes and PPTs so that students can study. Sometimes we also have to submit our assignments on the LMS portal. The level of exams are not very hard, they are of medium level.

Our institute has a placement committee called TPC (Training and Placement Cell). Companies like TCS, Capgemini, Accenture, KPMG, Deloitte, Cognizant come in our institute. Average package is 5-6 LPA. Lowest is 3 LPA and Highest is 12 LPA. Maximum students sit for campus placements. Companies start coming from July- August month of final year.

The infrastructure is of top- quality. Libraries are well equipped. They have books for all your study needs. Classrooms are spacious and well ventilated. Labs are really beautiful. Overall the institute is surrounded by greenery, it is a beautiful campus and sometimes students also go to the ground to watch cricket match. Sports like Badminton, Table- Tennis, Carrom and Chess.

Overall campus life is pretty chill. At the end, it all depends on your perspective on how you see things. People are friendly and supportive. Clubs and committees like Kalarag, Footloose, ISA, IEEE, CSI, and Wall are a part of this institute. You can earn certificates by volunteering and participating in these committees. Every year teach-fest takes place. Students from different institute also come sometimes for the event. The institute is very famous for its cultural fest called Horizon. It is 3 days of madness and an amazing fest. Every year two artists conduct concerts. Artists such as Darshan Raval, Dj Chetas and Arjun Kanungo have come. It is a fun event, there are many games you can participate and even earn small prize money. On few occasions sports competition is also organized here.
