Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology (RAIT) is one of the renowned colleges in Navi Mumbai. It is affiliated with University of Mumbai from a very long time. My institute is known for its academic excellence, world class infrastructure and strong industry and academic partnerships. It is an excellent educational and technical institute for aspiring engineers. With its dedicated faculty and staff members it provides the students with a conducive learning environment. The student community here is very vibrant and open minded for any projects and other co curricular activities. The placement records are also good and thus overall make it a great place to learn and grow as an engineer. The institute has a great research center and thus has a strong research culture always motivating us to take part in research and development activities.

RAIT offers many undergraduate and post graduate programmes with many core and noncore branches such as CSE, IT, Mechanical and many more. The curriculum is designed to provide a well rounded education that includes practical, hands on experiences and some field trips around once a year, apart from the theoretical knowledge. There are vivas after each practical sessions or labs so as to measure the knowledge that the student has gained and the amount of concepts they have learned throughout the labs. These are counted towards the term work marks. Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology conducts various workshops and seminars on the latest trends and technologies in different engineering branches in the college which helps us stay updated with the industry developments.

The faculty at RAIT is well qualified and quite experienced with many having more than 10 years of teaching experience at different or the same institute. Some of our faculties are ex coaching teachers too. Thus, they very well know how to use different and interesting teaching methods such as case studies, group discussions, and hands on projects to make learning more engaging and interactive. They ask questions to students during the lectures so as to make students focused and aware of what is going in the classes. They are committed to providing high quality education to us. The faculty members are constantly involved in research and consultancy activities with their experiences which help them stay updated in their respective fields. For this they also interact with other experts from their fields so as to help themselves learn in more detail about their field and industry insights.

The placement committee of RAIT Navi Mumbai has tie ups with several industries and research organizations providing us opportunities to participate in internships and gain practical experience. The committee also has established industry-academia partnerships enabling us to work on real world problems and contribute to industry development. RAIT has a good placement record with many for the students placed in top tier companies of India. The committee provides help and assistance to students for the placements and other interaction with the industry experts. The committee organizes on campus recruitment drives, which attracts top companies from different sectors of the industries. Mostly for all students the internship opportunities are also provided by these companies. Some of the top recruiters that visit RAIT are Reliance Jio, L&T InfoTech, TCS, Wipro and Accenture. The placement committee conducts a pre placement talk before the placements to summarize the students with the company profile and job descriptions. The alumni network also helps the placement committee to establish industry connections and bring more job opportunities to the campus.

The college provides hostel accommodations for its students. There are separate hostels for boys and girls with a capacity of 400 students in each hostel. The hostels are located within the campus so as to make students convenience for attending lectures and practical sessions. The hostel rooms are furnished with basic amenities. Each room is made to accommodate two students. The hostel provides a common room for students to relax and socialize. There is a reading room on the ground floor of each hostel. There are strict timings for entering and leaving hostels just for the security of the students. The fees for the hostel are reasonable and inclusive of all the amenities and mess food. Thus the college provides a secure and comfortable stay for the residing students, making it an ideal place to pursue higher education.

The college provides state of the art laboratories workshops equipped with the latest tools and technologies enabling us to gain good hands on experience and practical exposure. Our college has a well stocked library with a vast collections of various books, journals and research papers that students can access for our academic and research needs, The library also provides us with come branch related coursera certifications and courses which are helpful for during our placements. The campus of the college is modern and well equipped with around 20 acres of land. It consists of a canteen, a gymnasium, and a medical center for the student's safety and welfare. The college also has a well established sports infrastructure with facilities for both indoor and outdoor games, including basketball and volleyball dedicated grounds. The college has a modern auditorium with latest audio visual systems.

The students over here are self motivated and have that passion and hunger to achieve their dreams and aspirations. They form various clubs and societies catering to different interests providing students with ample opportunities for extra co curricular activities. The college hosts several events and cultural fests throughout the year which provides students a platform to showcase their talents and skills. Some of the prominent student chapters are Music club, robotics club, ACM chapter and many more fantastic clubs. The college encourages social responsibility and community service activities among students through its various social clubs and initiatives, such as tree plantations, blood donations and joy of giving week. There are many festivals celebrated in the college such as Abhiyantriki, the technical festival, Aarohi, the cultural festival and Technotsav the sports and technical festival. These all activities make the students step out of their comfort zone and perform some extra ordinary activities by taking participation in these events.
