Decent college

Overall Rating
Well, they aren't as good as they advertise themselves to be. If you go and check Google reviews you will see people appreciating them a lot but take it with a pinch of salt. They charged us full fees even during the pandemic while the other colleges slashed theirs out of concern. It felt less like a college and more like a school because of their 75% attendance rule. The only positives I observed were top-notch infrastructure and placements were pretty decent considering the pandemic. The campus is very small just so you know and there are no proper courts or grounds for sports.
 

Academics Rating
Academics are average, just beginner-level skills are provided and faculties are least concerned. I would recommend them to start investing the money in academics and faculties rather than their infrastructure.
 

Faculty Rating
Most faculties were least interested in the IT department and a lot of them started leaving in the third and final year. It's expected that considering they were there just to pursue their PhDs and worked part-time as teachers to earn a living. However, the IT department had the sweetest teachers as compared to other departments and I really respect them since they treated me well for 4 years. They even conducted my oral examinations again since I was unwell on the scheduled days. Lovely teachers.
 

Placement Rating
There's a dedicated placement cell and they help you well. Make sure to attend the Pre-Placement training and score well in it. Pretty decent since most of the students got placed at around 4LPA. Salaries ranged from around 4 LPA to 15 LPA if I remember correctly. Many students’ offers were later revoked though so keep that in mind. I think if you study properly and work on yourself you won't have an issue getting placed.
 

Hostel Rating
There are hostels, but avoid bad company and stay away from addictive substances.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Extremely well maintained. The reading room and library have ample books and classrooms are always equipped with the newest and best technology. Air-conditioners are everywhere so you won't feel hot. I found the campus size is small, rest there are no complaints when it comes to infrastructure.
 

Campus Rating
It's great; I attended so many events and DJ parties with my friend circle. There are many extra-curricular clubs and make sure to actively participate in them to develop a holistic personality. Crowd is pretty subjective; you can find nerds and spoiled brats in every class. The choice is yours, be selective and invest in friends.

    This institute was the best option for me as it had the best faculties. It has a big campus, air-conditioned classrooms, air-conditioned reading room, big library with multiple books from varied fields and various authors, etc. Every group of 20 students has a personal mentor looking after their needs which is another plus point for the students....   • TCET Mumbai was Established in 2001

    When I first took admission in College it looked normal and simple, but it has amazing campus. I was just looking for an Institution with good facilities and feel comfortable while studying. It was started in 2001. People here are helpful and teachers were also amazing. The fee can feel lit bit high though. Apart from this, I would definitely as other students to join the Institution....   • TCET is the worst engineering college ever

    I was a student of TCET and will give an honest review so that no one is fooled ever. Thakur College of Engineering and Technology has this knack for intervening in every single matter that a student wants to do on his/her own. In 1 sentence there is no scope of growth at all at this college. Thakur Engineering College believes that lectures will give you more experience than the workshop.
