My College Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College (AKGEC) is one of the best colleges of Dr. Abdul Kalam Technical University in Uttar Pradesh and this is the reason due to which it is ranked at rank no. 1 in our University. You can easily get admission to this college through JEE mains, direct admission or UPSEE exams. Even I got admission in AKGEC with JEE mains rank and I am glad that I am a part of this amazing college. The management of this college is so supportive and they always try to help you. I had also recommended this college to some of my friends.

Currently, I am pursuing B.Tech from Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College (AKGEC). I am a student of the CSE branch. My college has created a system for the admission process that you will get your desired branch according to your rank of UPSEE exam and JEE mains. I took CSE because I am a programmer and I love to code. I love the way how teachers of AKGEC teach us and their learning is very helpful in getting a good placement. This course will help you in getting a good job.

Each year we got to learn from more than 25 teachers and all teachers have a very good experience of teaching in their respective fields. There are more than 700 teachers in my college. Almost every teacher has a minimum experience of 5 years in teaching. Some teachers of my college have experience of 15 - 20 years of teaching. Some teachers have completed their graduations from IITs and NITs. Some teachers are so good at teaching but only a few of them are not up to the mark as their teaching is not good at that level.

I think that the training and placement department of my college is best as they share updates about internships and job offers of new companies. There are many good companies in which our seniors got placed. Some of them are - Infosys, Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, Mahindra, Goldmann Sachs, Saint-Gobain, etc. The highest package of last year was 44 lakhs. So the average package of last year for CSE branch students is 6 lakhs. Almost 80% of students get placed last year from the CSE.

Yes, Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College provides a hostel facility. Separate hostels are made for Boys and Girls. And there are 3 girls’ hostels and 3 boys’ hostels. Both Girls and Boys hostel are separated from each other. I think the fees of my hostel are high as it is Rs. 1,10,000 per year. The food quality of hostel is not up to mark. But in AKGEC hostel you will get complete electricity and water facility. You also get all the sports facilities when you stay in the AKGEC hostel. The hostel gates get closed at 10 pm.

The exterior design of campus buildings is completely made of brick without any paint on them. There are around 12-15 buildings on our college campus. The classroom of AKGEC is designed very well and they have a seating capacity of 75 students. There are 2 libraries in our college and both have different purposes. The laboratories of my college have very good and new apparatus. Some labs are designed by companies for research and internship processes. Our auditorium of the college has been designed recently. There are many playgrounds in our college and our college has 2 cafeterias and both of them provide good quality food. Our college has a partnership with Indo-German Hospital and the Hospital is near to Boys Hostel.

My college life was going so well before lockdown and I was enjoying that a lot. The main reason for living a good life in the first year was because our college conducted many workshops, and recruitments for societies and clubs and all these college activities keeps us busy. I liked some of my college clubs. My favorite clubs are robotics, programming, and automation, etc. Students can also get involved in cultural societies of acting, dancing, singing, coding, modeling, and much more. But one of the major disadvantages of AKGEC is that there is no fest, only Holi, Fresher, and Farewell are celebrated on campus of AKGEC. Rest no events are organized by college management but our societies keep us entertained by hosting some events monthly. So wrapping this up, till now the time which I have to spend in my college was so awesome, I am hoping that college gets open as soon as possible so that I can enjoy my college life at AKGEC.
