IIIT Naya Raipur's Campus is Situated 23 KMs Away from the Main City

One thing about IIIT Naya Raipur is that it offers a good career and a balanced campus life. Our Institute is located 23 Kilometers from Raipur and thus travelling or finding some time off campus is impossible. I still remember one entire semester I didn't went out. Our Institute though has plenty of the things that we can do in campus itself.

Our academics are the best. Firstly, all the IIITs have IT based course and in those CSE gets filled the first. I consider myself very lucky as there were just 60 seats and I was probably in the last 10 to grab the CSE seat here. Now coming to academics, the syllabus is completed quickly and it gets hasty but with time we have started to adjust.

Rs. 90,000/- is per semester fees and Rs. 30,000/- is hostel fees and Rs. 28,000/- the mess fees for a year. So a total of Rs. 1,80,000/- for academics and Rs. 58,000/- for hostels and mess.

Our faculties have great experience of teaching around the IITs and therefore are very knowledgeable. They always support the students and are very approachable.

From Deloitte to Amazon and just like that so many tech building companies have opted students from IIIT Naya Raipur, and therefore our placements are around 90% which is as good as any IITs.

Because the ratio of boys and girls is similar, there are 2 boys’ and 2 girls’ hostel at our campus. Currently I am stationed at Homi Bhabha Hostel as from second year onwards all the female students live in this hostel, which has around 100 rooms. For freshers, there's Bose Hostel which has around 45 rooms. Mess is inside the hostel buildings and timings are assigned like lunch lasts till 2:30 PM and dinner gets over by 9 PM.

Campus is quite big with a few buildings, gardens, cafeteria and a lot of open space. The campus is under construction, and reading and seminal hall will be shifted there as currently our reading hall is in the main academic block. It's small but always open and we even have study rooms at our hostel buildings too. I won't rate our Institute infrastructure with great distinction but a very peaceful environment is provided to students as it is highly secured. Se have badminton courts and other facilities for Meditation and Yoga also. Though we can go out and be back by 7 PM but nothing is close to campus so we rather stay inside and play sports, stroll in the parks or have a tea at cafeteria.

We have great campus life. The crowd is good. I would recommend others to join this Institute too.
