IIIT Naya Raipur: My Perception About Academics & Facilities

Overall Rating
My experience in IIIT Raipur is very good; you get nice exposure and an opportunity to get into different streams and clubs according to your interests. Some factors which made me choose this Institute is the Campus has limited number of offered courses like Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Electronics and Computer Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering, you can also find Ph.D and M.Tech scholars here.
 

Academics Rating
The course I have chosen is B.Tech in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DS AI), the main reason I chose this degree is because I have interest in becoming a Data Scientist or a Data Analyst, the requirements to get into this Institution is through JEE Main examinations, you need to be able to clear the cut-off rank of the Institute, you also can attain NTPC quota or get a caste reservation here. Students native to Chattisgarh are eligible for state quota.
The annual fees for the branch I have chosen is around Rs. 2,10,000/- and for 4 years it is approximately Rs. 8,00,000/- to Rs. 9,00,000/-. You can reach out to the government for scholarships as well.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty of IIIT Raipur is highly qualified and highly trained; they are graduated from esteemed Universities like IITs and NITs. They use various different methods for teaching in classroom, they use both smart boards and white boards, and they also hand out PPTs for references and share the books with you for your higher reference. They come from a very good background, the experience with faculty members is very good, and they are very approachable as well. They live inside the Campus itself.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, The Institution helps students in securing good placements.
 

Hostel Rating
In my Institute, there are 5 male & 3 female hostels. It is mandatory for students to stay in hostel; its fee is included within the total fee of the Institute that I mentioned above. Hostels are equipped with badminton courts and common room and table tennis room.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure when it comes to Campus is quite impressive; the average strength of each department is about a 100 students. You can find well equipped labs here and the Institute’s size is about 50-55 acres, and is situated in city outskirts, the seating capacity of classrooms is approximately 120-130. This Institution also includes a canteen, a sports complex, seminar hall, auditorium, and an amphitheatre.
 

Campus Rating
The overall Campus life here is absolutely phenomenal; you get a chance and an opportunity to get into a various clubs based on your interests. You can also participate in various sports fest held by other Colleges and Institute also organises its own fests. There will be official and unofficial fests in this Institution as well like Bollywood and Tollywood nights. As far my experience goes, IIIT Raipur is great.

  • IIIT Naya Raipur's Campus is Situated 23 KMs Away from the Main City

    One thing about IIIT Naya Raipur is that it offers a good career and a balanced campus life. Our Institute is located 23 Kilometers from Raipur and thus travelling or finding some time off campus is impossible. I still remember one entire semester I didn't went out.     The institute is good in every aspect infrastructure. Classes are well maintained with AC and projectors. Labs have computers with good specifications I7 10th gen 8/16GB RAM. Hostels and mess are better than other NITs mess food is good. Girls and boys hostel are different. Double rooms are given till 2nd year and from 3rd year you can choose single room.
