The college is good to study but they really need to work on attendance issue, training and placements. The Tecnia Institute of Advanced Studies comes under Indraprastha University. Admission process here is no tough, it gets wind up hardly within a week. The college management is fine in terms of organizing events, fests, conferences, growth related programs, exams and other things. The fees paid should be quite less than when we had to pay as it is not much worth unless we are offered with some handsome packages. The college really needs to grow their manpower for training and placements department.

I got myself enrolled in Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication BA (JMC) course in 2017-2020. BA (JMC) is a full-fledged, 3-year regular degree course which basically focuses on the various aspects of media industry. The eligibility to get admission in this course in to clear IPU CET BJMC exam. I joined this course because of my interest in fields like event management, photography and content writing. I wanted to explore more about these subjects so I took admission there. The pattern of study was good but the only drawback of studying in this college was less attendance. There were hardly any students present in the class which usually makes it boring to study. The subjects were really detailed and nice to study. This course is good to do only if you have strong interest in it. It's easy to get job just after this course but one has to be very determined about the particular field in which they want to make their career.

Faculty is good but it keeps on changing due to one or other reason which usually disturbs the study pattern for a particular subject. The number of faculty is between 8-10 which includes both morning and evening shifts. The teachers are educated and industry experienced. They have good subject knowledge. The teachers were very lenient which sometimes allows students to work according to themselves rather than listening to their teachers. The senior faculty should take care of this issue as students should be in control of the faculty.

The moment it comes to training and placements, our college was pathetic. They have rarely bothered in terms of placing their students. I just don't understand like why they have even created such department in their college when it's of no use for the students. The teachers there were always busy on calls and hardly take out time to talk and understand any student's problem. From our 2020 batch, hardly any student got placed as such. The students were really disappointed with this. At the time of admissions, we were told that various companies like ABP News, Aajtak, and many such renowned companies visits the campus for placements. But they have not arranged any such companies for the students. Also, because of pandemic situation, they have asked to wait for the placements in the near future. But now already a year have passed and there is no update till now.

There is no college hostel for students. The students have to take their own rented places if they are from other cities. This is quite disappointing for those students but can't do anything. It is tough for girl students from other cities to manage their life at PGs around. It is not safe for them. It becomes tough for parents to rely on this college due to this major factor. The college should start work on this concern for both girls and boys. The security around the college is good and active all the time.

This college doesn't have good space. The students studying here are really ashamed of their campus. There are 2 buildings, one for UG courses like BBA, BJMC, etc. while the other one for PG course, such as MBA. This college is really bad in terms of infrastructure as students doesn’t have any of the facility such as park, sports ground, music room, hostel, etc. Classrooms have air-conditioners with proper ventilation. There is a medical room in the PG building for any emergency. The college have its own canteen which offers great food variety.

The life is not so good at this college. The teachers are care free regarding the syllabus and don't pay much attention to it. The college has various clubs like Dance, photography and videography, Theatre group, etc. Being a part of photography and videography, I have learnt many things. The seniors are helpful and provide needful guidance. The college organizes various fests, like Varchasva, Saras, and many more. One will learn many things in college but only if they come to college. Most of the students just come to give exams and doesn't attend the classes whole year.
