National Institute of Technology, Raipur is an Engineering college situated at Raipur, Chhattisgarh which brings a quality educational and environmental upbringing in its students through its highly qualified faculties and well managed campus which gives the students an amazing college experience with vast opportunities of placements. I choose this college as it was one of the best colleges in Chhattisgarh for Electrical Engineering which provided not just theoretical knowledge but also gave practical experience simultaneously which is crucial in today's time.

I've opted for B.Tech in Electrical Engineering course as it was my preferred course since very beginning. The entry requirements of NIT Raipur's electrical engineering program vary upon the latest JEE Mains Cutoff of the specific academic year. The general cutoff for this field lies between an opening rank of 10,000 - 20,000 and a closing rank of 25,000 - 35,000. You can opt for this course if you possess a keen interest in Electrical Engineering field and are looking forward to make a career in this field.

The faculty here is quite good. It has professors with experience of an average 20-25 years of teaching. The main motto of the professors of NIT Raipur is to give up-to-date education with respect to necessary practical knowledge and skill development which is the main highlight of this college and its faculty. However, some professors might sometimes need a little demands of well managed course completion from students which is acceptable as it's almost in every college. Except this, the faculty of NIT Raipur is extremely well knowledge, humble and are always ready to help the students in any academic problem they face.

Yes, we do have a placement cell in NIT Raipur. It does indeed help students in acquiring jobs in reputed companies in their preferred field. However, in order to get specially noticed by the placement cell, the student has to maintain a good CGPA rank throughout the semesters which will help him / her immensely in getting a great placement with high salary. Student's hard work and sincerity throughout the semesters and the placement cell's connections in well reputed companies together help the student extraordinarily to attain a well paid and secure job.

There is a hostel facility in NIT Raipur. It has separate hostels for girls and boys. The hostel fees depend upon the people living in a room and if the mess is included or excluded. The hostel rooms are spacious, have necessary furniture like study table, wardrobe, and fully furnished bathroom. There's also good security surveillance in hostel with a 24/7 watchman and CCTV surveillance system. The mess is nearby the hostel and provides meals twice a day with snacks in between. It has fixed times for lunch and dinner. The food of the mess is quiet good, not the best but you can manage. There are options for Jain meals and Veg and Non-Veg meals separately. So there's no need to worry about the hostel facilities and mess's food.

The college is spread in a vast land area with various buildings all across the area. There are separate buildings for separate branches. The academic buildings are well maintained, clean and secure with CCTV surveillance cameras. There are elevators in every building which help disabled staff and students tremendously. There's a big badminton court, a vast cricket ground and a garden full of trees and flowers for everyone to spend some time in nature's lap peacefully. The building designs are modern as they should be in an Engineering college with Free Wi-Fi all around the college. There are 2 canteens which provide really good quality food which is tasty, healthy and most importantly, pocket friendly.

There's a welcome party every year to welcome the freshers. An annual fest which invites various artists from different fields. Every festival is celebrated with decorations, dance parties, food stalls etc. Whether it is Christmas, Holi, Diwali or Eid, every religious and patriotic festival is celebrated with utmost excitement and insanely well management of students and faculty which gives the students an amazing college life experience. Students make friends for life from NIT Raipur and live their campus life to the fullest.
