The Perfect Review for GLS University

Overall Rating
The overall college performance is very good and the methods of teaching are very understandable. The faculty’s behavior towards the students is good too. The classrooms are kept very neat and clean. This college gives amazing placements. The current course fee for IMSCIT (Integrated Master of Science in Information Technology) is 1,28,000 for every year.
 

Academics Rating
There is no entrance exam conducted by the college. But the student’s marks obtained in 12th standard should either be equal to or greater than the merit percentage criteria of the college. The IMSCIT course is a 5 years integrated course, in which the students get amazing knowledge about the IT sector and its various programming languages. Students need to fill the application form on the GLS website for admission. The form fee is Rs. 500.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties in GLS University are almost all Ph.D holders. The teaching method of the faculty is so nice. You can easily understand the concepts of the programming language in one go. The faculties are very cooperative even when the students ask to revise a topic more than once. The faculties support students in their projects. The Programming Language faculties first teach theoretical concepts then the practical concepts in the labs, so that the students understand the concept perfectly.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have a very active placement cell in our university. Well known companies like TCS, Wipro, Bacancy, etc. come to the college for providing placements. The average package for IT students in university is 5 LPA. The students get the package based on their skills and experience. 90% of the students get placements from this university.
 

Hostel Rating
No, this college does not provide any hostel facilities to the students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The buildings of GLS University are well maintained and cleaned. The class rooms are very big and have AC facilities. There are almost 7 to 8 computer labs in the GLS University and in one lab there are around 60 to 65 computers. There is library with a large variety of books.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life of GLS University is average. The university has built a new building for some new courses. There are many clubs that are run by students in our IT department. The cub called 'Code Decoders' arranges many hackathons and coding competitions for the IT students in an academic year. Every year, certain days are celebrated by the students like signature day. All the arrangements are managed and organised by the students.

    Basically, I never even knew I would ever end up in a field like information technology and ending up here was beyond imagination. I was completely new to the concept of Coding and such and actually wanted to get in Bachelors of Technology but later on I ended up in the Faculty of Computer Applications and Computer Technology.     My overall experience in GLS University is decent because the education is good here. While, the campus life is also pretty good because in this University we celebrate all festivals and also focus on Study. The main reason to select this University was the specialized courses curriculum where the students can learn various computer languages and also can practice them in University lab at the same time.     I particularly chose GLS University because it is one of the best universities in Ahmedabad. It is near also my house. I would say others should also opt any course here because it provides detailed knowledge in every subject and each semester has different subject.
