Review: BCA in Poddar International College

Overall Rating
I chose to pursue BCA from the Poddar International College because it was affordable for me. The faculty here is nice and supportive. Our HOD, Ruchir Sir is very helpful and motivates us in studies and to participate in different events hosted by our college and other colleges in Jaipur.
 

Academics Rating
The entry eligibility in BCA is 40% marks from any recognized board in. To get admission you need to come to the college, fill the form and pay the fees. There is an option to pay the yearly fees in installments. They provide scholarships too, on the basis of one’s merit and sports performance (national / regional level player).
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty here is nice and teaches well. But their teaching is limited to the syllabus. They lack a bit of practical teaching. If you have any doubts, you can ask. The students can easily pass the university exams and the practicals. There are 3 classes for the1st year students but only one class for the 2nd year students. There is one faculty available for each subject. Some teachers use the projector and teach with notes, while others still make you write notes in class and teach through the white board.
 

Placement Rating
Placements in this college are decent. Not every student gets placed at the end, it totally depends on ones skills. This college will not teach you that, you’ll have to develop skills on your own. The highest package was about 4.6-5.4 LPA. Other than this, the average package is around 80k -120,000 per annum.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of Poddar International School is average. The campus is very small and has only one building. There is an auditorium and a library, which has books that are quite old. There is one sports room but it is very small. There are all the necessary labs for the practical subjects.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus life is not so good, as the campus and classrooms are small. The seniors never come to attend the classes. Clubs are there, but are mostly inactive. Fests are also conducted by this college.

    The placements are okay and the faculty is good at teaching. This is a RU affiliated college and provides a degree from the Rajasthan University.     There are some good things in this college like, the fees are affordable and they offer some scholarships on the basis of one’s 12th board percentage.     Overall Rating
    This college is good for BCA if you want an affordable college. Its fees are 60k per annum and scholarships are also available starting from 60% marks in 12th and sports scholarship as well. There is scholarship if your family member is in this college. There is no attendance issue too so if you are willing to pursue MCA or preparing for any test you can join this college.     I chose Poddar International College for my BCA because the fee here is lower than other institutes offering BCA. Fees for 3 years it is 1, 80,000 and they give merit based and sports based scholarships too. Other than this 75% attendance is also not mandatory they'll adjust it for you since it is a private institute. If you have plans after BCA like to pursue MCA from somewhere else or go into government jobs or exams you can choose to do BCA from such a college.... Read Full Review

    As an alumni from Poddar International College, I had experienced ample exposure from academic sessions to cultural fests. Some may criticize my decision for opting BBA in this college, but the academic experience you get here is beyond belief. I believe the faculty members and regular industrial visits are one of the key components for opting courses like designing and management here.
