‘Altius’ Annual Inter-Collegiate Event at Poddar International College Jaipur

As an alumni from Poddar International College, I had experienced ample exposure from academic sessions to cultural fests. Some may criticize my decision for opting BBA in this college, but the academic experience you get here is beyond belief. I believe the faculty members and regular industrial visits are one of the key components for opting courses like designing and management here. Right off the bat, you get to experience several club activities.

As a core Commerce student, I opted for Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) due to their up-leading skills in the field of management and analytical workshops that helped me to boast my basic knowledge on Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Human Resource Management. Shifting towards the eligibility criteria, one can successfully get enrolled in this College if he or she has secured 60% or above in their senior secondary. Admission process requires valid I'd proofs, 10+2 marksheets, and documents like migration certificate, etc. To confirm SPOT admissions, one needs to fill the registration forum with their basic details. Exams are conducted quarterly with live one-on-one discussions with the respective faculty members.

The fee structure depends on the variety of domains a student may go for at PIC. However, the total fee for my course is around 1.5 Lakh, divided in three installments ranging from Rs. 50,000/- to Rs. 60,000/- if opting for Data Analytics as an additional course, with a registration fee of Rs. 800/-. Student with good grades in their senior secondary might enjoy scholarship schemes ranging from 5% to 20%. Eventually, these scholarships might entertain one if he or she performs well in their yearly and semester exams depending on the duration of the course.

From a perspective of Management student, novice entrepreneurs might find the faculty members are friendly if behaved properly during sessions and mock trainings. Each and every faculty member comes from respected colleges out there in India with their ability of critical thinking and in-depth knowledge of what management looks on a practical approach. Though academic sessions are conducted on blackboards, we as management students are required to present PPTs after every lesson. Eventually, case studies are conducted in classes itself to depict the loopholes and benefits of businesses around the globe. I think the faculty members should be applauded for their efforts and fierce determination towards upcoming business leaders and entrepreneurs.

The academic block is situated at the top floor with conference rooms for showcasing PPT's and business pitches to investors in particular business conclaves and events. The classes are lightened with props and monitors for the faculty members to depict each and every lesson practically. Canteen is situated behind the auditorium hall in basements, holds a special spot in every Podarite's heart. For me, sports room was one of my favorite spots where I used to practice Table Tennis with my batchmates.

Overall, campus life can become more joyous if one ventures around and explores the bizarre yet thrilling things. Besides regular audits, industrial visits, and excellent academic sessions with global leaders, I believe this college should encourage students who are looking to delve into any sport. As a former Vice President of the Poddar Preneur Club, newcomers with a will to gain new insights can find club activities exhilarating. Speaking of fests, my college conducts ‘Altius’ (A National Inter-Collegiate Event for Management students), ‘Manthan’ (An Inter-Collegiate National Fest to showcase your talent), and ‘Yuwaah’ (a fest to test your debating skills on management perspective).
