SRM University Kattankulathur BPT Review By Freeda Kristy

The days I spent at SRM University are till date the best experience in my life, I loved the education system, how the students socialize through fest and I feel everything was very well balanced there. The staffs are really friendly and the teaching is great along with great practical classes and good clinical exposure since first semester.

The course required a minimum of 75 percentages in PCMB or Pure science combination. I had written the entrance exam and it didn't help to get through the admission process with ease. The main motive for me was since I always wanted to get into medical field and I thought physiotherapy was the right choice for me to help people get back to their normal lifestyle or to help anyone live their life to the fullest.

The staffs were very knowledgeable and great at teaching. Most of the staffs are Ph.D scholars and really easy to approach and ask doubts. They are friendly and strict at the right times and I feel they always have our back during the whole course. Each staff has their unique style of teaching and put their maximum efforts even during online classes.

Yes we do have placements and there are many companies that have come forward for selecting students on campus. Although the salary is negotiable I feel it's a great opportunity for students to have an idea about interviews and it helps them prepare themselves for the work after college.

I was at the hostel for three years and I felt it was a great experience I had there. We had so many great memories there, I stayed at BC Roy hostel which had a basketball court in the midst of the hostel and the hostel area had lots of plants and greenery too. Each room has three cots, three cupboards, two fans and an attached restroom. We were served coffee, milk and bread around 7:00 AM every morning and around 7:30 we were served breakfast with a wide range of options to choose from and lunch was provided around 12 PM. usually rice was served at lunch and evening around 4:30 we had snacks with tea and milk, around 7:30 pm dinner was served and the best part was we were served fruits every day and weekly thrice we had non veg (optional). We had access to a vending machine 24/7. We did have curfew at 6 PM.

The campus had such a peaceful environment with very less pollution. It had many trees and plants and also had many gardens among which my favorite was near the dental canteen, with a greenhouse for certain plants too. The infrastructure of the buildings was amazing. We also have a main auditorium. We had a common food court named Java were literally anything was available from Dosa chutney to subway and the Shawarmas were the best there. We had a CUB Bank inside campus, we had shuttle service and recently they introduced electric cars for fewer crowds.

The campus life at SRM was a blast. we had the best time of our life, since they kept us all interactive by hosting frequent fests, cultural , sports meet and also never gave up traditional events like Pongal celebration, Holi celebration and even had dandiya. We were able to socialize really well at campus, we had many band groups and dancing teams and sports teams the whole campus remained alive all the time. There was never a time that there weren't any events except for the time post corona that was for safety reasons.
